So I'm writing this little chapter(?) for those of you that have no clue what I'm talking about when I say the words 'carapace' and 'plastron'.
so basically the Carapace is the scientific name of the shell. its an exoskeleton on the dorsal side. the plastron is a protective shield that is in the front on the ventral side.

I'm a bit of a turtle nerd thanks to TMNT, but now I get to drop the most random and scientificaly explained turtle facts to my friends out of absoloutley nowhere.
Since I'm going to be using those words often I thought I might as well help you so that you know what it means.
Also y'all I need some help. I'm trying to persuade y mom to let me get my own turtle. should I get a box turtle or a red eared slider?
