Ava sits at her vanity looking the mirror, pampering herself. She smiles, tilting her head slightly, and sighs softly, "Truly, I am blessed with beauty."

A sudden knock came to her door. Ava glances over her shoulder then turns her attention back to the mirror. "Who is it?"

"Your brother, let me in Ava," Ryan responds on the other side of the door.

Without turning around, Ava continues to fuss with her hair, her fingers twisting a lock into a perfect curl.

"What if I don't want to?" she replies, a playful smirk forming on her lips as she enjoys teasing her brother.

"Ava let me in, it is too early for you to pick a fight with me," Ryan expresses exhaustingly.

Ava, with a smile, rolls her eyes as she stands from her vanity and walks merrily over to her door and opens it. She rest one hand on her hip and one hand on the door "Yes?"

"Come on, father wants us downstairs for breakfast," he says, sounding exhausted. He yawns and brings his hand up to cover his mouth.

Ava walks out her room and closes the door and they begin their walk to the kitchen.

"Ryan are you okay," Ava ask "You look quite tired. Did you get any sleep last night?"

Ryan shakes his head "Not really. I was up almost the entire night thinking about what Grace said and how I should be careful on what I do when it comes to Sebastian."

Ava was taken aback, her eyes widening with surprise "Wow. I did not expect you—" she cuts herself off, suddenly remembering "The truth spell—"

"Is still in my system, yeah," he interjects "I'm hoping this wears off before father and mother start a conversation with us."

They reach the staircase and descends down them "Wow, I'd assumed it would be gone by now. I guess you have a few more minutes."

"And that's agonizing," Ryan bluntly replies.

Once they reach the dinner room, they take their seats, already being greeted by Grace and their parents.

"Good morning family," the king says.

"Good morning father," Grace and Ava responds in unison, Ryan following behind after yawning.

Fredrick scoffs with a short laugh. "Are you tired son?" he ask, raising an eyebrow.

Before Ryan can respond, Ava quickly interjects. "Yes, he is, father," she says, her mind racing to come up with a plausible explanation.

"I wanted him to take me to the garden earlier. I apologize; I just love seeing the flowers flourish in the bright morning sun." She adds a smile, hoping to sell her lie convincingly.

The king makes a face of understanding and nods "Alright, thank you Ava. However, I'd like Ryan to speak for himself from now on.

Ava grins and nods obediently. "Yes, father," she replies.

Eleanor comes to sit and join her family and Frederick reaches over, takes her hand gently, and kisses it. "My Queen," he says with a warm smile, his eyes full of affection.

Eleanor blushes, her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink. She returns his smile, her eyes sparkling. "Well, good morning to you too, Frederick," she responds.

Grace leans over to Ava and whispers  "Why did you answer for him?"

Ava whispers back "Because the truth spell is still in his system and I didn't want him to over speak."
