Chapter 19

Ali jerked back as Kunikida stepped onto the pedal of the car, going way above the speed limit.

Tanizaki's eyes skimmed past the message that Ranpo had sent them for extra information, "Apparently... Haruno and Naomi's location has been leaked, and the Guild is after them." He said, his eyes darkening as he saw Naomi's name.

Looking towards Kunikida, Ali stood up in her seat, "Well? How far away are we from them right now?" She asked, ignoring her pounding heart.

Kunikida glanced at the GPS, "About... 10 minutes at this rate. And that's if we don't encounter any traffic." He told Ali while glancing at her, "You're not planning anything... Are you?" He asked.

Ali glanced to the side, "Well... If I were to run there with one of you on my back... It'd take around 6 minutes..." She muttered awkwardly, not making eye contact with either of the men.

Kunikida and Tanizaki stayed silent for a moment before Kunikida unlocked the doors and Tanizaki motioned at Ali to put him onto her back.

Ali busted the door open as she jumped onto the street, "THANKS KUNIKIDA! HIT THEM WITH YOUR CAR LATER OR SOMETHING!" She yelled at him, readjusting Tanizaki on her back.

"Hold on..." She whispered to him, before running at full speed. The environment blurred around them as they passed Kunikida's car with ease, "Where do we go now?!" She asked, her eyes on the empty street.

Tanizaki pulled out his phone, "We just have to take a couple of turns, take a left turn now!" He ordered, tightly holding onto the back of Ali's sweater as Ali swerved to the left, leaving some light skid marks on the road.

As Ali dashed past a couple of moving cars, she opened her mouth to Tanizaki, "When we get there, I'll try to rescue the two of them! You can assist me with Light Snow!" She said, jumping past a car which had stopped at the red light.

Tanizaki firmly nodded, "Got it! Once we're done recusing them, me and Kunkida will stall the Guild members, you can help ward off any possible attacks to the two of them while getting them to the train!" He advised, hugging tightly against Ali's back.

"RIGHT TURN!" He commanded, squeezing around Ali as she skidded to the right, once again leaving some skid marks on the road.

He lightly patted her on the back, "We're almost there!" He yelled, looking at how as the two went uphill, the scenery changed from a cityscape to the edge of a forest.

Ali squinted, seeing a car being held up using some grape vines, "I haven't been here that long but... I doubt that's normal!" She whispered to Tanizaki, using her head to motion at the grape vines.

Tanizaki nodded, "Yeah! I'll activate Light Snow now..." He whispered, leaning down to Ali's ear, "Drop me." He commanded.

Ali screeched to a halt for a moment before gently placing Tanizaki on the ground, she looked at how there were vines sprouting off of one of the Guild members neck, the vines that were holding the car.

Ali went onto her tippytoes to whisper to Tanizaki, "Hey... Take this knife and cut off the vines on that persons neck... You'd be better at stealth then me." She instructed, pulling out a knife from her bag.

"Really?" Tanizaki asked, warily looking at the enemys.

"I can't do everything by myself, I'll catch the two as they fall from the car. And plus, you're probably much better at stealth then me." She said, putting the knife in his hands.
