"Let us welcome, the new members of the student council"

A round of applause were heard inside the student council office. Some — who witnessed the deal made between Milo and Erin weren't smiling at all, they were already eyeing Erin and Keen as if they were their prey. Keen thanked each and everyone inside the office with his usual bubbly smile, unbeknownst to why he was accepted here.

"Everyone, this is the part where we introduce ourselves. Milo Yang at your service, the vice president" Milo showed off his deep dimples and Erin swear she heard the girls sigh in affection.

"Hi! I'm Jake Simpson, a junior" said a guy with almond-shaped eyes that seem to glisten whenever it was reflected by a light. Tumatak siya sa isip ni Erin dahil sa matapang na aussie accent nito.

He looks like a puppy

"Chrys" said a guy who's probably a junior too. He has sharp eyes and well defined jaws. Erin note not to mess with him because of intimidating looks.

"Saki Nakamura" tila nagpanting ang tenga ni Erin nang banggitin ni Saki ang pangalan niya. He made sure that Erin heard him loud and clear. How could Erin forget such a mischievous grin? Erin won't forget the subtle mockery from his face whenever their eyes would meet.

The rest of the students introduced themselves to the newcomers. But Erin's gaze is fixated on that one guy who look disinterested, his eyes is in trance — as if his mind is nowhere in this room. His gaze is fixated on the vase filled with newly blossomed roses.

"And that over there is Leeon Lewis, our student council President. Sorry if he seems disinterested, we kind of have a crisis lately" Erin's question of who the guy might be was answered by Milo.

"Parang ikaw yan, laging nakatulala" bulong ni Keen sabay tinuro si Leeon, pinandilatan naman ito ng tingin ni Erin. So that's why she's somehow drawn to that guy, dahil tila laging malalim ang iniisip nito. Just like Erin, he seems to want to say a lot of things but ends up just keeping it to himself.

"Every month, we ask for the students' requests or let's say suggestions to help improve the school. Now your first task as newbies is to assess which are the good ideas and present them to us after an hour" mahabang saad ni Milo at inilapag ang compiled na papel na tila mas makapal pa sa naka hard bound na thesis paper.

"An hour? How do you expect us to assess this in an hour?" asked Keen with a bewildered look on his face. Erin thought that Keen could become a great actor someday — given with how much he expresses his emotions very well.

"Don't you think it's the least you could do for getting a free pass?" Parang bula na sumulpot si Saki mula sa likuran ni Keen and mockingly pinched his cheeks. Hinawi naman ni Keen ang kamay nito na parang lamok at umirap, but Saki seems to be more entertained.

"Hey! Nakapasok ako dito fair and square" Saki was about to say something else ngunit natigil ito nang magsalita si Chrys.

"45 minutes then. Ayoko ng puchu-puchung assessment, your judgement reflects your character as a student council. If you don't fit in with our standards, you're out" Chrys spoke and the whole room went silent, even Milo shrugged as if sanay na ito kay Chrys.

Never cross him

Erin made sure to pin that note onto her mind. Chrys is indeed scary, mas nakaramdam pa ng takot si Erin kay Chrys kesa sa kanyang headmistress sa orphanage. He really knows how to command others, no wonder he's a member of the student council.
