♪ You're the only one
Who can boil my blood
And make that shit cut ♪George Russell POV
My family was with us for the first five days, and the touristy stuff we did during the day was very easily replaced by the most spontaneous sex I've ever had. This woman could drive me crazy with just a look. I was relaxing by the pool when I saw my brother and sister approaching as Melanie played with my niece and nephew with the help of my mom and dad. They all adored her from the beginning, and I guess I understand why.
"Melanie, uh? I can't say I'm surprised," Cara says, and I laugh at her statement.
"No. We are hanging out. Alex is flying in tomorrow, and she just decided to come earlier," I say as I roll my eyes.
"What a load of bullshit," Benjy says as he laughs, he was not having it. As my older brother, he should understand this better than my sister ever could.
"We have some fun; that isn't a crime. I don't need to like her to do that," I am unbothered by the claims, and he chuckles.
"Keep fooling yourself," he leans back on the sunlounger by my side, and I stay the same, looking for where she is, not finding her or my mother. My dad was walking here with the kids, and I sat down and took off my sunglasses.
"They went to eat something?" Cara asks as he approaches us, but he shakes his head, his expression serious.
"Melanie wasn't feeling well; your mom went with her to try and get some salt to see if she returned to normal. Her blood pressure must've dropped suddenly," he explains calmly as the kids bickered with each other, and I quickly got up.
"I will check it out," I say, and he nods.
After putting on a shirt, I walked inside the hotel and found them at the bar. She looked a bit more pale than a few minutes ago.
"Feeling better?" I ask as some worry shows up.
"Yes, it happens sometimes. I forgot to drink water during the afternoon and it's hot as hell," she says calmly and my mom smiles.
"I will leave you two to it. Call me if you need anything and drink some water, my love; that can't be happening to someone so young," my mom fixes her hair before leaving, and she only smiles.
"No pregnancy possibility?" I ask, worried, and she laughs.
"Not at all, stop associating everything to pregnancy, we are well protected," she is nonchalant and I am glad.
"Is it that hard to drink water on a hot day?" I ask, and she shrugs.
"I'm lazy; blame me all you want," she stands up, and I follow her outside.
"Come rest a bit," I ask her as I reach for her hand and lead her to the sunlounger.
"Are you alright?" My sister asks worriedly and she nods.
"I'm fine; it was no big deal," she says calmly as she lies back, and Milly sits by her side.
"Are you okay? He was worried," my niece says as she sneakily looks at me.
"I am fine, your uncle just happens to care more for me than he states," Melanie jokes and Milly laughs.
"Are you his girlfriend? I saw you kissing," she tried to whisper but everyone heard it and laughed in answer.
"I wouldn't worry about that, your brother is trying to take your towel away," she tells her, and Milly runs to where Leo was, a fight ensuing soon after. To which my brother had to go separate.
The afternoon was very uneventful, we took a good shower as everyone packed up to leave and I drove my family to the airport, we went to our room and ordered room service for dinner. We didn't feel like going out tonight.
"I should go; I have no will for sex tonight," she comments as we finish our dinner, and I shake my head.
"Go where? We only have one room, so lie down and rest; there is no need for anything more," I say before I enter the bathroom.
I got out to find her in one of my shirts, I got in bed and pulled her closer, her head laying on my chest.
"We don't cuddle," she states and I nod.
"We do now. Is that a problem?" I ask as I use the remote to navigate the television and she shrugs.
"No problem, I guess," she says indifferently and I find one of the movies she had been talking about—time to score some points.
My hand ran through her hair a couple of times, and she adjusted her head a few times. Only then did I notice she was falling asleep 30 minutes into the movie. I don't know when, but I ended up falling asleep soon after, waking up to my phone ringing and I stopped it before it woke her up as she moved, her ass in clear sight. Gosh, the thoughts crossing my mind should stop.
The unknown number quickly made me ignore the call and mute the sound on it. But a text came soon after.
She will be alone someday and I finish what I started.
Enjoy her while you can.
I immediately sat down, stared at my phone, and then looked at Melanie. He is not in jail. When the fuck did this guy get out, and why didn't I knew it? I went to the balcony and called the lawyer I hired. I came to find out she asked him not to tell him that she would do it. He has been out for weeks since he had a criminal record. Is this a damn joke?
I walked inside and sat on the bed, my thoughts racing. I should tell Alex and Nina, they need to know she isn't safe at all. Her phone lit up, and I went there, the same number calling her. I took the phone and answered.
"You would end up answering some day, Laney," he says smugly.
"She is busy, wanna leave a message?" I am arrogant in my answer, and the silence couldn't speak louder.
"You can't protect her halfway around the world; I will let you know when she is under me, willingly or not," he warns me, and I chuckle.
"Good luck, mate, but if I find you, then you better be ready to die; I will also finish what I couldn't that night," I say before I hang up. What a fucking piece of shit.
Now, I need a way to keep her safe, whether it means telling Alex what I know. Once she knew, that would blow up in my face, but at least I knew she wasn't left alone and unsecure.
