"Jimin, stop playing with your food." Hearing my mom's calm tone, my hand froze, mind still further away.
"And while you're at it, stop sighing too." I rolled my eyes at my sister.
We were finally having the family dinner we were supposed to have weeks ago, but like usual, it was postponed multiple times. Supposed to be weekly, not monthly, maybe they should change the title.
Minjeong did walk me back to my place, but the rest of the journey there did not go smoothly. I was all silent, left with my thoughts, and could not compose my behavior after the realization of the feelings that I might have for the woman walking me back home. I was anxious.
It was so bad that the only thing said multiple times was 'Are you okay?' from a worried Minjeong. The sudden change must have made her feel anxious to the point that she said goodbye and asked me if she was going to see me tomorrow.
Nichkhun's laughter came into the room, opening a bottle of wine, he joined in the conversation. "What your sister meant is, you can talk to us if you want to." he smiled, I couldn't stand his smile. "If you have any problems, it's good to talk it out."
Yeah, how would you like me to start, perhaps with 'I know you're cheating on my sister with the most attractive woman I have ever seen, oh and, by the way, for the first time ever, I am attracted to someone very strongly it's making me anxious, the person is your side chick that I was supposed to hate.'
Seeing Tiffany widened eyes, I wished for dear Lord or whoever was listening, that I did not say all of those out loud.
"You.." she put down her spoon and leaned over with a smile. "It's a love kind of problem, isn't it?"
I could practically feel my blood rushing to my face, "Wha– no it's not! Don't talk nonsense!"
"You're blushing!" she pointed at me, grinning like a maniac now. "So it is a love problem!" I covered my ears as Tiffany's voice boomed, she rarely talked this loud, I hated it when she talked loudly.
"Nu-uh, stop yelling!" I covered my head with both of my arms, and put my face on the table, trying to calm my nerves before I could let anything slip again.
"Tiffany, stop teasing your sister." My mother said, I peeked at her, only showing my eyes while still covering the rest of my face with my arms. "Jimin, finish your dinner." She set down her spoon neatly and wiped her lips with the napkin. Nichkhun offered her the wine that she gladly accepted as I straightened my back to continue eating my barely touched pasta. "And please, be wise." My mother unexpectedly continued. "If it is a love problem."
I groaned, getting back to my previous position as I heard Tiffany and Nichkhun giggling.
Dinner was short as usual, after talking about the wedding plan progress, my mom went back up, told us that she wanted to rest when we all knew she was going back to work again. But she did tell us we could stay the night if we wanted to. I might actually take the offer since being back would just make me keep thinking about Minjeong.
I volunteered to wash the dishes since I knew those two were just going to act all disgusting in the living room, and to be honest, the sight of Nichkhun right now made me want to puke.
More so now that when I imagined him with Minjeong, I got another thing to be upset about in a different way than the other.
"Hey." I looked back to see Tiffany standing in the doorway, holding her empty wine glass.
"Yeah if you two gonna have that wine testing game again, use one glass or wash your own dishes alright, I am so not doing it again." I warned in annoyance. The sound of her giggle got closer, she wrapped her arms on my waist and squeezed me from behind. "Get off me, you drunkass! Go cuddle your boyfriend instead!"
