"Did you have sex?"
"Shut up."
I was now at My mom's house, my grandparents and my mother were asking Nichkhun some uncomfortable questions as Tiffany and I were getting the dishes ready. If I knew I would be accused like this I would have stayed and listened to the awkward conversation instead.
"You so did!" Tiffany squealed. "Was it with Minjeong?"
"I didn't have sex!" I shushed her and quickly grabbed the last plate and made my way to the dining room, my sister followed me with her hands holding another plate.
"You have that look, it's even worse than usual." She whispered loudly. I rolled my eyes and quickened my pace, setting up the plate on the table, turning around to take my seat but found Tiffany glaring at me. "If it wasn't with Minjeong I will kill you."
Sighing, I moved her aside with my hand and took a seat next to my grandma, across from my mom, ignoring the look Tiffany was sending me as she took her own seat away from me.
"Are you two going to Nichkhun's family after this?" My grandma looked at Tiffany.
She smiled and nodded. "Not right away, we will stay here for a bit." She sent me another look and again, I just sighed.
"I have a big family, we spent Christmas together at my parent's place, my uncles, aunts, cousins, they all will be there." Nichkhun nodded, and he sent me a look too.
I froze. Did he know about me and Minjeong?
"Ah, we should do that too, instead of having separate parties." My grandpa chirped in.
"Parties?" I mumbled quietly. These breakfast, lunch and dinner couldn't be called a party. Besides, it was impossible for us to have one thing together as a family. My mother's siblings talked about her behind her back, and she didn't exactly like them, she would always have an excuse not to go.
"Yeah, it sounds fun." Tiffany said but I could read her sarcasm clearly.
My mother sighed. "We have different schedules, dad, I don't think it will work out."
"You work too much, In Na, we barely can see Tiffany and Jimin too." My grandpa looked at me and smiled. "Look at Jimin, she's glowing, she looks more and more beautiful and mature everytime I see her." I grinned. "How's school, Jiminie? You're graduating next year right?"
"Yes, it's going great, I'm thinking about grad school."
"Ah excellent, but don't forget about other things." Here we go again, "Do you finally have a boyfriend, dear?"
"I thought you were going to say work." My mom came to the rescue, glancing at me as she took some vegetables and set them on her plates. "Is your savings still providing for you?" I nodded. "Don't you want to take a break from school and focus on your career first?"
Sighing, I held out my plate as she offered me the vegetables, "The school is a part of me focusing on my career, mom."
"What is it you want to do again, honey?" my grandma asked while putting down some beef on my plate. "I'm sorry, my memory is a bit fuzzy with age." She chuckled.
"She wants to follow her dear sister's steps, grandma, teaching." Tiffany smirked from across the table.
"Well, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but since mom never let me have a dog," I sent my mom a pointed look, "I have to settle on something else."
"Excuse me?" Tiffany barked, "Settle?"
"What does me not getting you a dog made you settle on being a teacher?" My mom cut Tiffany off.
