I could feel the cold on her skin and saw goosebumps on them so I quickly rubbed them. "God, you're freezing, where's your coat?" I half whispered, noticing people were staring at us.
I could feel her giggles on my chest, "I forgot to grab it in the cab."
"Oh my God." I groaned but still grinned while rubbing her back and upper arms. "Did you leave anything in the pocket?" I leaned back and looked closely at her. The curves of her body made me gulp, remembering that my hands were on them this morning.
She shook her head, wavy hair dangling and she flipped them over her shoulder softly, not arrogantly. "No, I took out my wallet and my phone, I think that's why I forgot." She shivered a little bit and I started unzipping my jacket, her smile disappeared. "No, no, I don't want you to be cold." She shook her head, her hands grabbed mine to stop me.
"I'm wearing a warm sweater inside, you're wearing a goddamn sexy sleeveless dress, I think I win this one." She shook her head again, blushing a little while looking around noticing people's eyes on her too. "Only to the car, okay?" She looked back at me and nodded. Feeling satisfied, I helped her get into my thick jacket and quickly zipped it up. "Let's go sexy woman." She chuckled and reached down to grab her hands, but waited as I looked at her to make sure it was okay. She nodded with a big smile.
As we made our way to the parking lot, I noticed she was walking a little bit off, but before I could ask her, she beat me to it. "When did you get here?"
Hoping she couldn't see through it, I lied, "Just an hour ago? Or thirty minutes?"
"You've been waiting that long?" Oh, honey, if only you knew. "You should've gone when I text you, I didn't expect to see you at the gate, I thought I would just wait while I eat something."
"You're hungry?"
She looked at me in disbelief, squeezing my hand and I giggled. "That was not my point."
"But I'm hungry." I lied, I didn't even feel anything but the warmth of seeing her in my tummy. "Is your favorite restaurant open on Christmas?" her eyes widened.
"Tiffany told you?" I nodded. She looked ahead and I tugged at her hand lightly to lead her to turn as we got close to my car. "Well, it's usually open, but I'm not sure."
"You're not sure you want to eat?"
Shaking her head, she smiled at me. "I'm not sure if you'd like it."
"I'll like it." I stopped as we reached my car and opened the door for her.
She looked at me hesitantly, "You drive an Audi?"
I laughed and tilted my head, "Should I be offended?"
"No, no." She shook her head, "I– uh.." I pushed her lightly to take the seat as I felt the chilly wind and realized that her legs were uncovered. She blinked her eyes and I pecked her cheek before putting on her seat belt and made my way to my own seat.
"This was my mom's old car, I saved up some money and bought it from her at a cheap price, Tiffany still drives a prius because she cannot be trusted with money." I rolled my eyes and glanced at her. "She bought a rich attorney an expensive camera for Christmas." I rolled my eyes.
"Tiffany really needs to go to some financial seminars." She giggled nervously, her hand cupping the cheek I kissed. Then she suddenly grabbed the zipper and unzipped the jacket. "Here, please wear this again, it's cold."
"I turned on the heater." I smiled at her. "Please keep it."
"It's still cold, please wear this." She stubbornly took off the jacket and put it on my lap. I sighed, then unbuckled my belt to grab something from the back seat.
