As the morning sunlight crept into her room, A girl slowly opened her eyes, her beautiful blue irises gleaming in the soft light. Her black hair was tousled from sleep, and her bright skin looked refreshed after a good night's rest. She stretched her arms and got out of bed, and went to freshen up and wear comfy clothes then she performed her morning salah and prayers with a quiet devotion. Then, she got dressed in a comfortable and modest outfit - a creamy-colored blazer and pants, paired with a maroon-colored shirt and a nude-colored hijab that framed her face with simplicity and elegance and wore a beautiful heels. With a quiet confidence, she prepared to face the day ahead, her beauty shining from within.
She stood by the door, her bag slung over her shoulder and her keys in hand, ready to face the day ahead. But as she reached for the door handle, her mother's gentle voice called out, "my child, have some breakfast first, then go to the office."
She turned around, her eyes locked on her mother's concerned face. "Mumma, I don't have time, I'm already running late," she protested, her tone laced with a hint of urgency.
Her mother, standing by the kitchen counter, her hands covered in flour, looked at her with a worried expression. "But beta, you need something in your stomach before you go. You can't start your day on an empty stomach."
She shook her head. "I'll grab something at the office, Mumma. I promise. I don't have time for breakfast now."
Her mother's face creased with concern, but a girl determination won out. With a quick kiss on her mother's cheek, she hurried out the door, leaving her mother's words of caution behind "aish this girl never grew up", she shook her head.
As she pulled into the office parking lot, her determination shifted into high gear. She slid into her reserved parking spot, her eyes fixed on the sleek glass building ahead. With a deep breath, she stepped out of the car and onto the pavement, her designer heels clicking on the concrete.
Striding through the doors, she was greeted by the receptionist's professional smile and a nod of respect. "Good morning, mam," she said, as a girl made her way to the executive elevator.
With a swift ascent to the top floor, the doors slid open to reveal the bustling executive suite. Her confidence and poise commanded the space as she entered her office, her presence drawing the attention of her staff. She greeted the staff and went towards her cabinet.
As she settled into her chair, her secretary approached her desk with a warm smile. "Good morning, Miss Ayliz," she said, her eyes shining with admiration. "I just wanted to be the first to congratulate you again on winning the Best CEO of the Year award. You truly deserve it!"
Ayliz's face lit up with a proud smile, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Thank you, Hana. It's an incredible honor, and I'm still on cloud nine."
Hana beamed. "You should be! Your leadership and vision have taken this company to new heights. Here's your schedule for the day," she added, handing Ayliz a folder. "It's a busy one, but I know you're up for the challenge."
Ayliz took the folder, her eyes scanning the packed agenda. "Indeed I am, Hana. Let's make it a great day!"
"Ah, and Hana?" Ayliz added, her eyes still scanning the schedule. "Could you please get me a cup of coffee? The usual blend, please. I need a boost to tackle this busy day."
Hana nodded, her smile never wavering. "Of course, Miss Ayliz! I'll get it right in. Would you like it black or with a splash of cream, as usual?"
Ayliz smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "With a splash of cream, please. You know me too well, Hana!"
Hana chuckled and headed out of the office, returning moments later with a steaming cup of coffee. "Here you go, Miss Ayliz. Your morning pick-me-up."
Ayliz took a grateful sip, feeling the caffeine kick in. "Thank you, Hana. You're a lifesaver!"
