Party's eyes look me up and down. I can tell he's not happy to be seeing me in his clothes, but at the same time there's something else there. Jealousy? No, definitely not. Resentment? Maybe. Embarrassment? Yea, that sounds about right. He looks embarrassed to see me in his clothes.
I stare back at him with my brows furrowed. "What? Do I wear them better than you?" I ask, smirking at him.
I can see that this sets off a trigger in his head as his blush disappears from his face, and he turns his angered gaze to Ghoul. Ghouls puts his hand up in surrender, giving Party a small smirk.
He did this on purpose. That little rat!
Party throws his can of Power Pup in the trash and turns towards the front doors.
"If you want to go get your shit we need to get going. I'm not staying out all day." He says as he exits the diner, walking to the Trans Am. I watch him get in the driver's seat and start the car leaning his head back and looking up at the sky.
"He's right, we do need to get going." Kobra interrupts and I turn to the rest of the guys.
We all nod and head out the door towards the car, sitting in the same seats as the drive home last night. Party glares at me as I get in the passenger seat. I catch his eyes and he turns them back to the steering wheel.
What did I ever do to you? I think to myself.
"Here." he grunts, handing my my ray gun. I look at him surprised. If he doesn't trust me why is he giving me a gun?
Before he can change his mind I grab my gun and slip it in my waistband. I didn't realize how naked I felt without it.
He clears his throat as he begins to pull away from the diner, "So where's this base at?" His voice is slightly less angry now.
I begin to give him directions as we drive, the only acknowledgement from him being hums and murmurs.
Is my base even still there? Have new Killjoys made it theirs? What if my stuff is gone?
I stare ahead and hope for my sake that I'm overthinking. I can only imagine the wrath Party would release on me if I inconvenienced him with a useless trip.

Surprisingly, we didn't find any Dracs on the way to my base and I was pretty relieved. I've had enough fighting in the past couple of days.
As we pull up to a familiar clearing in between some hills, I see it. My base. It was a home to someone before the fires. A little one story house with a front porch and a, now dead, tree in the front yard with a swing looking out over the vast desert. I chose it because it's tucked away from view but has a great vantage point of the surrounding areas, especially with the hills around it.
My eyes land on a blue spray painted motorcycle parked by the side of the house, and I'm immediately filled with hope.
"My bike." I whisper. We took my teams car to the mission when I was captured.
Party looks over at me as he pulls the car to a stop. I see his eyes linger on me for a second before he looks away. I can hear him start to talk but I'm already out of the car and running towards my house. My home.
"Toxic stop!" I hear him yell as they all exit the car and begin to chase after me. "Damnit Toxic, I said stop!"
As I reach the front porch, I push open the door and find my home in the same way that I had left it before venturing out on my mission... three months ago apparently.
