 L/n's POV

 ══════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════

I gasped and yelled: "NO!". Breathing heavy from the nightmare. Luckily I woke up just before the bad part.

The part where I went back to my house and finding it had burnt down and all I could hear was my family's agonizing yells of pain as flame met flesh.

I sat down on my bed, still as a statue a little bit longer, regaining myself and getting my breathing under control.

Just when I wanted to get up, there was a knock at my door. I let out a sigh and looked at the time, two in the morning.

There is a second knock, a little more persistent than the first.

"Who the hell is that?" I pressed my fingertips against the bridge of my nose, I was clearly not in the mood for a sermon about what I've done wrong again or any more unnecessary little thing.

Especially not this early.

"Shiggy if it's you, I'm really sorry I haven't replaced your bedroom door handle that you've broke because it didn't budge open, yet. I am going to the hardware store on Tuesday, I'll buy it then, okay?"

"I'd rather jump off a bridge before seeing myself as Shiggy in all his crusty dry ass self. Can I come in?"

The voice from outside my door's owner was none other than Dabi, or as I know, Touya.     "Oh, hey Burnt Crisp. Sorry for that..." Touya smiled what looked like pity.

I hated it, people who only see me as some stupid pitiful person who can't sleep because of night terrors anf when I was at my lowest and most vulnerable moments.

He leaned against the doorframe and sighed as if he was complying what words to say.             "Heard you yell, everything okay? Hope it's not ...'our' dream..."

This was an inside joke between the two of us and also ironic because it is nothing near a dream.

It was a nightmare, a horrifying reminder of our past failures.

We called it "our dream" because we both get the same exact nightmare about the same exact thing: The day of the fire.

The fire that scarred us both, mentally and physically.

I nodded and lowered my head, stray strands of hair falling on my face. There was another sigh and then the squeak of my bed as he sat down into the matrass next to me.

"Why? Why won't they stop Touya? I hate it."

Tears threatened to spill out, forming a small dam near its end, almost breaking. Touya's arms envloped me and I felt him squeezing his heart, fighting his own tears' threats.

"I also want them to stop, even if nothing helps to stop them. 'Demons of the past haunting until eternity ends' as Jin quotes."

His arms left the embrace, leaving me alone again to suffer, "We couldn't control what had happened on that day, nor could we have prevented it, Mouse."

A moment of silence passed then I spoke softly, almost a whisper just a lot quieter: "I... *sigh* I know, Touya. I just want it to end already..." I looked up into his neon bright blue eyes, eyes that told a long story of tears, pain, fun and a need for revenge.
