I looked around the room. The room was painted a hospital white, with equally white bedsheets. '𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴...'

I blinked and shook my head to relieve myself from the whiteness. In a corner was a few boxes stacked on each other, pricking my curiosity.

I contemplated to either go to sleep or to find out exactly 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 was in the boxes.

'𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘠𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘰𝘰'𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴.' I finally decided to read through Yin Soo's file again until I could remember it sentence by sentence.

When I looked again, it was two in the morning. To make up most of my lost time I decided to try to sleep anyway.

Sleep took a long time to show its head. But when it finally came, all that was going on in my head was about the night of the fire.

The consequences of my actions. I moved around and I was just restless and every now and then I woke up and my racing breath had to be calmed down. After quite a few startles, I got up, put on my shoes and opened the door to the empty corridors. The corridors were empty, dark and cold in the early morning when the sun had not yet risen.

I locked the door behind me and tried to remember which room number was Kai's aka Keigo's. '𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘧 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺...'

The thought popped into my head. When I got to his door, I wondered if I should call him or just knock. I then realized that I had forgotten my phone in the room. After about five gentle knocks, I moved on to slightly harder knocks.

'𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦... 𝘞𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭.' After a last knock I decided to go to the cafe I saw by the entrance hall to get a coffee or something like that.

The sun rose slowly but surely with me still sitting in the cafe when he didn't answer my knocks or any of the calls. Steam rose from my cup, circling around all twirling.

I sighed and got up, left a hefty tip for the waiter and went up the elevator to my room. As the door opened I almost ran into Mr. Yoi and apologized to him. He just narrowed his eyes at me while the steel door closed the distance between us.

I let out a breath I hadn't noticed I had held in. "𝘠𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘴. Guess he's not a morning person..." Keigo said behind me.

"Or he has a stick constantly up his arse. Could be that too." I replied, still looking at the elevator doors confused. "Wanna go grab something to eat?" Keigo nudged me with his elbow.

"I feel like chicken and a coffee. What do you feel like hmm?"

"I'm not so hungr-"

"Come on! Tab's on me." He then pulled me by my arm all the way downstairs to the cafe. "It's really unnecessary for you to drag me along like a baby with its blanket." I grumbled, on the verge of slapping him.
