It was nearly nine in the night. A young alpha wearing a mask was talking to another alpha in his mid-forties. "And there are no issues with the merchandise?" The young alpha asked. "Of course not. The prince of Wuyong himself ordered this after all. I've made certain it is of the highest quality." The other alpha said with a proud smile on his face. "I'll take your word for that. What about the other item?" "Right. Here's the mining permit that the black guild bought from the Xianle empire, as well as the draft of the bond from the imperial palace." The elderly alpha said as he handed the young alpha a document.

"It will come in handy when the kingdom of Wuyong advances past the continent to become an empire." The elderly alpha said with a smile. The young alpha smirked. "Yes. It will come extremely handy." Saying so, the young alpha snapped his fingers and the two guards behind him unsheathed their swords before knocking out the guards next to the elderly alpha.

"Ge Zhao En, guildmaster of the Black Guild." The young alpha said as he pulled off his mask and tugged his hair, letting the wig covering his head fall down as his lush black hair swayed slightly. "You are under arrest for treason!" Xiao Zhan said as he showed him his badge, signifying his status as the leader of the knights. "That's the emblem of the Knights of Cryos! How dare a mere knight meddle with the affairs of the guildmaster of the Black Guild?! Do you know who you're messing with?!" Ge Zhao En shouted as his hands were twisted behind his back. "Your backer Guo Zi Yu? He's already been arrested." Xiao Zhan said, stunning Ge Zhao En. "What?!" "Take him away." Xiao Zhan ordered, and the other knights dragged the alpha out of the room.

At the palace, the two princes were enjoying the weather outside while drinking tea. "I heard that father summoned you recently." Shu Hao said making Cao Yuchen smile nervously. "Ya Hao. I heard that he summoned you as well. I guess... we can't put it off any longer." Cao Yuchen said as he remembered his father scolding him to get married within a year. Shu Hao grinned. "It'll be my turn next." "It's been three years. Father's been exceedingly patient with us." "Three years already huh?"

"Your Highnesses, The Chief of Cryos is here." A messenger announced, making a smile bloom on both princes' faces. Xiao Zhan walked forward and bowed to the princes before speaking. "The Knights of Cryos have completed their mission. The matter with the Black Guild has been resolved." "Zhan! Sit down." Cao Yuchen said, making Xiao Zhan bow once before sitting next to him while Shu Hao poured him some tea.

"You did well. This will be a useful card in the negotiations with Wuyong." Cao Yuchen said with a smile. "Hao will deal with the evidence and aftermath." Xiao Zhan laughed. "We've become good work partners." "There's been no end to the praise for The Knights of Cryos." Shu Hao said. "It's incredible for a newbie knight chief of just a year. It must be because of your natural talent Zhan." Xiao Zhan smiled although he quickly denied it. "It's because all my subordinates have followed me so well. I'm so proud to see such good results from all this hard work."

"This will be your first year in the tournaments, right? The Knights of Honor are highly motivated by that." Cao Yuchen said. "I'm also excited to see how a swordmaster will fare in the tournament." Shu Hao agreed. However, Xiao Zhan sighed before speaking. "Actually... I'm thinking of leaving the tournament to the vice chief this year. I'm also planning on stepping away from this field of work for a while."

The two princes were shocked. "Are you injured?" Shu Hao asked, feeling worried. "It's for a good reason, so don't worry. I'll let you know the details later. I want to tell Yibo first." Xiao Zhan said while winking at them, making them blink in confusion.

In the Wang duchy, Xiao Zhan sighed as he stretched himself. "This should be enough." He said as he started piling up all the documents he got. 'I am a little sad about leaving work after so many years.'

Suddenly, Xiao Zhan heard a knock on the door before it opened. "Zhanzhan." Wang Yibo smiled as he entered the room making Xiao Zhan rush towards him and engulf him in a hug. "Bobo!" "I missed you. It's been ten days. How'd your mission go?" Wang Yibo asked as he ruffled Xiao Zhan's hair. "Oh! He's completely ruined. I even requested a short leave." Xiao Zhan replied as he leaned against Wang Yibo's shoulder.

It had been three years since Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo got married. Persuading Xiao Jianmin was not easy and there were times Wang Yibo and Xiao Jianmin almost drew their swords at each other. If it hadn't been for Xiao Zhan's interference, both the duchies would've waged war at each other a long time ago.

"A short leave?" Wang Yibo whispered as he leaned forward, turning Xiao Zhan's face red. "That means... I can monopolize you for that while." The alpha said seductively as he held the omega's waist. Wang Yibo was just about to bite Xiao Zhan's earlobe when Xiao Zhan grabbed Wang Yibo's hand. "Bobo, we should put our couple lifestyle on the hold for a while." Xiao Zhan said, stunning the alpha.

"What? But last time you jumped on me as soon as I got-" Wang Yibo said with an innocent face, as if not knowing what happened that day, turning Xiao Zhan's face scarlet as he shouted. "I know! But we can't do that anymore!" "Zhanzhan, are you hurt? Or... was I... too rough last time?" Wang Yibo asked, feeling worried and guilty, thinking he hurt Xiao Zhan. However, Xiao Zhan laughed. "No Bobo. You're going to become a father." He said, making Wang Yibo's eyes widen as his jaw dropped to the floor.

"'Father'?! You're pregnant?!" Wang Yibo asked making Xiao Zhan nod. "When did you find out?" "About a month ago. I wanted to wait until it was more stable." Xiao Zhan said. Wang Yibo was so happy that he picked up Xiao Zhan in his arms and spun him around while the omega laughed. "You did well Zhanzhan." Wang Yibo said as tears swelled up in his eyes. "I'm so happy. There's a life inside you coming from us." 

Xiao Zhan lovingly touched Wang Yibo's cheek as his eyes became moist too. "You did well too Bobo." Wang Yibo gently placed Xiao Zhan on the floor, although his arms still lay on the latter's waist, while Xiao Zhan wrapped his arms around Wang Yibo's neck. The two of them leaned forward, their foreheads touching. "I love you Zhanzhan." "I love you too Bobo." The couple kissed passionately as happiness kept filling the house.

5 years later:

Xiao Zhan kept walking forward with a five-year-old omega in his arms before he turned around. "And papa wins!" The little omega said while giggling, making Xiao Zhan laugh. "See A-Ying? I told you your papa is fast." Xiao Zhan said. "Hm! Papa is very fast!" His son, Wang Ying said with a bright smile.

"I wonder..." Xiao Zhan heard a familiar, deep voice, stunning him. "Daddy!" Wang Ying shouted, making Xiao Zhan turn around. Just as his son said, Wang Yibo stood a little away from him with their younger son, Wang Lian who was a three-year-old alpha. "How?" Xiao Zhan asked. "Let's say... it's an alpha secret. Right Lian?" Wang Yibo said giving his son a cheeky smile, making the little boy nod. "Yes daddy!" Wang Lian said proudly, making Xiao Zhan scoff. "I'll uncover that someday."

The couple put their kids on the ground and the little ones ran around the field. Wang Yibo walked up to Xiao Zhan and held his hand before they both looked up at the sky. "This is nice." Xiao Zhan said, making Wang Yibo nod. "It is."
