Jeongguk walked through the lobby and past a door made of ornate mahogany wood that stretched wide open, at whose threshold stood two doormen dressed in exactly the same suit as the man outside the Grand Hyatt entrance who had greeted them moments ago. All he had to do was cross the threshold, and a spacious venue appeared before his eyes. It could successfully be used for the wedding reception of some rich movie star or kpop singer at the peak of his career. He stopped and began to slowly look around. His gaze immediately fell on one of the large crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling above his head. The interior was dominated by mahogany-colored wood, shades of gold and white. The decor of the beautiful place reminded him of a modern-day Great Gatsby. The room was filled with tables on which numerous snacks were arranged, as well as tall glasses filled with champagne, around which guests of all ages gathered. In the depths, he also noticed something that resembled a bar. It didn't surprise him one bit. After all, it was probably no secret to anyone that alcohol not only loosened tongues, but also opened wallets, and after all, that's what this gala was all about - for guests to spare no money. Although he was used to the crowds that gathered in front of the stage at Awake to admire his performances, he felt a bit overwhelmed in the crowd of these people. The men were dressed in black tuxedos, white shirts and flies or ties, and the women in long evening gowns or knee-length cocktail dresses and high heels. A few meters away to his right was a man in a black tuxedo. He was sitting at a snow-white piano, flipping through sheets of notes, only to start playing a soft melody moments later that complemented the quiet conversations of the assembled guests. Jeongguk was very impressed.

"I had exactly the same look on my face when I first came here," a low voice whispered directly into his ear, finally snapping him out of this trance, and he shifted his gaze to the man standing next to him.

Taehyung smiled gently at him. The man's hand still rested in his, and he felt the policeman clench his fingers a little tighter, as if to let him know in this way that he could count on him.

"I'm sorry. I'm probably acting like a fool." He replied, embarrassed. "It's just that I've never been in such an elegant place before."

"Not at all," he protested, turning his body more firmly toward him. "It may not look like it in this tuxedo, but I don't belong in this world either. It's a good thing they don't make us eat lunch here, because I'd get lost with these forks, and I'd probably sooner poke someone's eye out of frustration than choose the right one," he joked.

"Hey, lovebirds," Jimin called out suddenly, walking up to them. "My mother won't forgive me if I don't bring you to her, at least for a minute. She has already asked about you several times," he explained, this time addressing his friend directly. "I swear she loves him more than her own birth son," he added, sending Jeongguk a playful smile.

Taehyung laughed lightly, then shifted his gaze to his companion, as if mutely asking him for permission. Jeongguk, catching his intentions, nodded.

"Go. Don't worry about me," he encouraged him, smiling gently.
