Luz pov

"Mija?" mom spoke softly from the door. She was carrying a plate of what seemed to be toast and eggs.

"No thanks mama. I'd rather not" I whisper softly, curling up and looking through the picture on my phone. Stopping on one of my favorites. It was a group photo. All my friends were there.

It's been a week since I got stranded here. I have so many questions. Are they ok? Is king ok? Amity? Willow? Gus? Is Eda ok?

"Luz you need to eat something." Mama argued stepping closer.

I sat up and glared at her,"mom I don't want to eat anything. Just leave me alone."

She walked over to me and grabbed my shoulders,"no me hables así. You know as well as I that sitting here and doing nothing won't ever help you. You need to eat to gain energy"

"Mama. There is no magic here. How am i going to ever make my way to the boiling isles again" I slip out of her hold and curl up in bed again. I hugged my phone to my chest. Tears threatened to spill.

Mama sits down at the end of my bed. She sat silently for a moment before speaking up,"you came here looking for something right. That's what your mission was? To find a staff and a glyph?"

"Yeah what of it?"

"You have a mission luz. You have to do your part and find a way to go back afterwards. Maybe they have some type of magic that can help?" Mama argued gently, touching my hand. I pull my hand away and stare at my wall. I jsut wanted to see the others. Know that they are safe. What's the point of finding stuff if I can't go back to using them.

Mama let's out a soft sigh,"mija I didn't want to say this just yet. I wanted to wait till you were older. But considering what's going on I suppose I'll tell you now."  Now that caught my attention. I slowly sit up and stare at my mother.

"I've known about the demon realm for a while. I had an old friend who would come and go between the realms." She spoke fondly yet as if she was in pain. Like she didn't wasn't remember that person,"She lived back there in that old abandoned house. Said it belonged to her great grandmother."

There was someone who traveled between each realm. Someone like me. I glance at the picture on my nightstand. It was of me, king and Eda. Could it have been Eda?

"Who was it?" I asked,"what's their name?"

"I don't remember. It was a long time ago. When I lived here. When I was younger. I remember it was Before meeting your father"

Dad. It's strange. I was there for dad's death. He died here in the human realm. Yet I saw him with my own eyes in the demon realm. Was that actually him? Does mom know? Maybe she doesn't.

"Mama I need to tell you something too. Something I saw in the demon realm." I sit up straight and gently trace the scar belos gave me,"I saw dad. In the demon realm. Belos he took me to the castle and he took his mask and it was him ma. I swear that was dad. Called me his daughter."

I didn't dare look at her, I looked everywhere but at her,"there was another me, too. She looked just like me. Mama was that really dad? Dad died here. His body is in the graveyard here. How did I see my father in the demon realm?"

"I don't know Luz. We buried him. Are you sure it was him Bebe?" Mom asked fidgeting with her own hands. She seemed scared. Maybe as scared as I.

Lilith's pov

I stepped through the halls of the dungeon in the emperor's coven. I was tasked with removing a body from the cells with the new golden guard. He was jsut promoted. He was a scrawny kid with an annoying voice.

I finally reach the cell and open it. I nearly screamed at what I saw but I had to calm myself down. That isn't Luz. Luz is in the human realm. She is safe.

The body on the ground recembled Luz. But she had pointer ears and the emperor's sigil on her neck. She had a hole in her stomach. Probably from a knife.

Behind the body in magic cuffs laid Angela's pet creature thing. I don't appreciate that it looks like amity. She looked dejected as if she was crying. Her eyes were sad and remorseful as she stared down at the body in front of her. Poor creature.

"I'll be taking her now. She will be buried outside the coven's walls." I spoke softly so as to not startle her,"is there a place you would have liked to bury her?"

She didn't speak for a moment before slowly looking up at me,"the beach. She loved the beach. Can you bury here there?"

I give her a small nod before drawing a spell circle. Encasing the body in a blue glow and lifting it gently off the ground. I go to turn around and exit when she speaks up once more.

"The next time you see amity and the others. They have a friend on the inside." She spoke so softly you could barely hear it. The way she spoke was full of venom but not towards those she was talking about.

I give her a small nod and gently close the cell,"I'll see you on the outside."

Making my way down the hall and stop at another cell. A tired voice spoke up as golden eyes stared at me,"how are my children? I hope odalia hasn't done anything to them?"

"They are fine. But she doesn't go by that name anymore and as it seems you don't go by your name either." I gently toss a stack of papers into the cell. I hear him quickly shuff to the papers and later the sound of him looking through them.

I continue my walk through the hall only stopping when I hear the cell door being slammed into followed by a shout,"you protect my kids Lilith! You got that! you keep them safe from her or so help me I'll kill you!"

"You already have my word, you idiot." I shout back pushing the door to the back corridor open.

I make my way out the back of the covens castle thinking back on the times I've seen these two together. They seemed close but also very competitive. Reminds me of me and my sister.

The thought of my sister upset me. I wish to see her right now. She must be so upset now that Luz is gone and so is the only way to see her. I know I already miss her energy.

I walked through the forest with one single thought on my mind. To hold my promise and bury the poor creature's friend and to rush to hug my sister.

I finally arrive at the beach and draw a spell circle. The sand floats out of a small hole. I wanted to make it pretty deep so as to not allow any creatures to get to them. Once I was content with the size I gently placed the body in.

"We didn't have the pleasure to work often together. You helped Amity and Luz. I thank you. I hope you may rest well little one." I place a flower on their stomach and begin to fill the hole. I gently pat the sand and sit next to the head of the grave.

"Don't worry I'll keep helping them for you, I promise you"
