Mission? More Like a Playdate!

Sonic's POV

"But he's a insider. With all your respect, he can't go with me." Knuckles said bowing down to Eggman.

"Well, then your mission is to train him." Eggman said to Knuckles. "Now go fetch that pesky boy!" He said. Knuckles got up.

"Move it you." He said pushing me. I followed him. "Our mission is to catch this boy." He said giving me a picture. "He's Eggman's most wanted. Got it?" He asked.

"Yes sir!" I said. Wow, my first mission! Once we came outside, we stopped.

"Okay, we go our different ways. Use the head price to communicate with me if you find him or run into trouble. We will meet here when we're done." He said before walking away. I turned the opposite direction and started walking.

The people that lived here were all poor and starving. I help them, I'd be killed. They all ran to hide from me.

"Anything?" I asked Knuckles.

"No, how about you?" He asked.

"Nah, just some peasants." I said. Man was this going to be a long day. After several hours of looking, my mission turned more into a boring day.

I came up to a boy who had his face covered with a scarf. I tapped his shoulder, he looked at me.

"Oh, hey excuse me...you see I'm on a mission for Eggman and I'm trying to catch this boy have you seen-" but he put an arm around my shoulder before I could show him the picture.

"Oh! Great you're new out here!" He said happily. "You see, here in Möbius we are all very poor..." He said.

"Yes I know-"

"We don't have enough time to get to know each other since we are all working in the factories..." I felt his hands groping my body.

"Hey!" I said trying to get away.

"So no I haven't seen him." He said letting go if me. I stepped a couple of feet away from him before turning back to him. I noticed he had most of my equipment in his hands and stuffing it in his satchel. He uncovered his face. "It was nice chatting with you." He said before putting the scarf back on and running away.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Wait! He just robed me! And he's the guy from the picture! "Knuckles-" But my head piece was gone.

"You'll be needing this!" He shouted from a far distance with my head piece in his hand.

"Hey! Get back here!" I ran after him, at super sonic speed. I caught up with him, but he dodged my arms as I tried to grab my head piece. He put it on.

"Hello. This is Eggman and I just wanted to say..." He made farting noises with his tongue. I lost him. I couldn't see him. Then I felt some one tap me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw him him sitting on top of some metal sheets and wood. "Who are you anyway?" He asked twirling my headpiece on one finger.

"That's none of your concern, now give me that back!" I yelped.

"No." He said before running again. This guys is totally getting me fired. I noticed he was starting to slow down, since the wall was in front of us. Ha ha! He stopped with his back to me touching the wall.

"Well, end of the line." I heard him chuckle.

"That's what you think..." He said before turning to face me and punched the wall lightly. Some stones and a door appeared. He quickly climbed up. I stared in amusement. He stuck his head out. "Well, you coming?" He asked.

"Please, as if I'd go-"

"Sonic! You're so dead meat! Eggman is going to tear you to shreds!" I heard Knuckles' voice. Shadow threw only the headpiece back to me, none of my other equipment.

"Looks like you've got boss issues. Well, see ya!" Suddenly he disappeared and the door did too along with the stones. What the heck? I felt around the wall, I couldn't find the place he'd punch.

"Sonic!" I heard Knuckles. I turned around. I stood up straight once I saw him.

"Sir, yes sir!" I put my hand up to my forehead.

"What the hell were you thinking when you said that?!" He said.

"I...I didn't. It was that boy who we were looking for. He stole all my gear then did something to the wall-"

"Sure, sure... Then all the unicorns appeared. You should be thanking me I'm not telling Master about this!" He said angered. "Lets get out of here..."

"Phew. Thanks Knux." I said.

"Just this time." He said still angry. I walked along his side.

Shadow's POV

A flashlight, a taser, a small police club, and a radio. Well, it's worth something. I took the batteries and the tiny lightbulb out, along with the stuff inside the flashlight and put it in a drawer. I put the shell in a box in the fridge that was dysfunctional. The taser I kept in my satchel. The club will be nice as a leg for a stool.

I turned on the radio on. Music started playing...was this Yesterday by the Beatles? Man, it has been a while since I've heard this song.

Hm, that guy who was chasing me...didn't look like scout material. I jumped on a hamic that hung above the lake close to the edge. Mona was I in love with this place.

You know, I could show him...what if he tells. I guess I'll just have to test his trust...
