How Could You?

Shadow's POV

"There he is!" Scouts shouted as they saw me. I ran to hide but met them at the next turn. "You're under arrest." Knuckles said.

"On what charge?" I asked.

"Any charge the Master chooses." He responded. I swung a fist at him and knocked him over. I pushed the other scouts aside. They were soon back on their feet. I ran and jumped through obstacles in the market.

I jumped from boat to boat at one point when it crossed the lake of fisher men. I was almost there. I continued running, until I tripped over something, landing on an old bookshelf. It broke into a pile of longs.

"Uh..." I groaned. I looked up and saw Eggman holding me of the longs, Sonic came from behind me. Wait, was he the one who tripped me? Eggman pointed to me with the log. I soon received an impact on the forehead passing out.

I blinked a couple of times before noticing where I was. I moved my hand around the pillow my head laid on. I say up from the metal bed that I was laying on. I noticed where I was, in a cell in Eggman's base. I ran to the bars and shook them. It's no use, these things are iron.

"I see you're awake." I looked up and saw Knuckles.

"I see you just noticed."

"Master will see you now." He opened the cell, and I walked out. I had cuffs at my wrists. He walked behind me. Soon an idea popped into my head. I kicked Knuckles in the stomach, he fell to his knees giving a painful cry. Then I kneed him in the face. He fell over, probably knocked out cold.

I bend over and got the keys from him and freed myself. I took my satchel out of the cell and robbed Knuckles from his belongings. I took his head piece.

"Hey!" I turned to see se guards. They shot at me but missed. I broke the window and jumped trough it. "There's no way he'll live." One said. What they didn't know was that I was holding on to the windowsill. They walked away, and I climbed down the base to the ground.

I ran away as far as I could to the wall. I put the head price on.

"Hey Sonic."

"Yeah?" I heard him ask.

"I escaped and I'm going to the wall. Meet me there." I told him.

"Don't worry. I'm already there." He said.

"Alright, well... I see you there." I said before I put it away. Man, this was too easy...way too easy. I chaos control to the other side of the wall. "Heh, can you believe those idiots- Eggman?" I noticed Eggman was standing in front of me. Other scouts and Sonic stood there.

"Cease him!" I was tackled by two scouts. I didn't care what they did to me, my mind was more focused on Sonic. How could he? After all I've done. "Great job Sonic, not have you only told us where we could find him, but you've also discovered more land for me to rule." He said.

Sonic gave a chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. "No problem Sir." He said.

"Now take him away." Eggman said. I was carried by the two scouts. I looked back at Sonic who mouthed the word sorry.

"How could you? I trusted you! I trusted you! How could you have done something like this?! You hurt me!" I asked angrily and looking back at Sonic; and struggling to pull free from the scouts. Sonic's ears were flattened down and he frowned. "I..." I hesitated. "I hate you..." It hurt my heart to say those words.

I heard him give a little gasp. His head went down and sniffing became of him. I let the scouts carry me away.

Later I was thrown into a cell, but this one was more secured and had many doors at each room. Fairs stood at every door. You see, all doors had a password. One you opened a door there was a room with another to open to the next door which had another password. All the doors had different passwords. After seven or so many rooms and different passwords, came my cell.

I sighed as I was finally let free into the cell. There was a metal bed with a pillow. There was a metal bathroom. I just can't believe he betrayed me...
