One thing that humans have not desecrated is love. Though they are selfish, cruel, and brutal. Yet that never took away how genuinely they can love.

Love was their only true emotion. One that can never be distorted.

Elves, on the other hand, we weren't capable of that. We didn't know anything beyond, murder and hunting. We've always had anger boiling inside us. We've always been thirsty for blood. We loved killing and destruction.

I've always thought that love was humans' weak point. I've never understood why someone would sacrifice their life to save the ones they love.

I was curious. How beautiful was that feeling. That it would be worth of a life. A soul.

Though the only looks I got were filled with lust and desire. I've never actually felt warmth my whole life.

On both sides... I was just a tool. A toy. Or a weapon. But I was never seen as a person. My feelings meant nothing to anyone. They al wanted something from me. And once they get it. I am not useful anymore.

Just an item to satisfy needs. Not worth more than clothes or any worthless item.

My eyes fluttered open. The light blinded my vision for a minute. I held my hand up to cover some of it so I can open my eyes. "Hah... where... where am I this time..." I whispered hoarsely. Not sure if my voice actually came out.

"Omg! He's ALIVE! Thank God!" I heard a sound cheering. Who the heck would be this happy that I am alive... most of them wanted me dead...

I groaned softly and covered my eyes to block that annoying light.

"Yeah but his skin is pale and as cold as ice. Do you think we should take him to the hospital?"

"No! Are you crazy? If something happened to him we would be the main suspects."

I could hear faint different voices around me. Did I escape the dungeon? Or was it all just a dream...

I felt a gentle soft hand on my forehead. "Hey. Can you hear me? You collapsed a moment ago. Probably from exhaustion."

I finally allowed myself to open my eyes. And it took me some blinks as my vision started to clear up a bit. Slowly revealing the blonde angel in front of me.

Wait... it wasn't a dream? Was this actually... Melody, or did I hit my head so hard that I started hallucinating.

She let out a relief sigh. "I really thought you were gonna die. Thank God you're okay."

I stared at her silently. Still trying to prosses what on earth was happening.

"The least you can say is thank you." I heard another voice in the room, as I turned my gaze to the left.

There stood a not really tall guy. He had short brown hair. And a bit of a weak body shape. And an innocent face. Both his hands were crossed over his chest.

"Who... are... Where... How did I... get here..?" I muttered, still feeling a terrible headache that made my thoughts fuzzy.

"Well. You're at my home. And that guy is my little brother. And this is my grandma. You collapsed earlier... I didn't know what to do so... I brought you here. It was the safest option." Melody kept talking and talkin. But I barely focused on any of it.

I couldn't believe I was in a humans' house. I've never actually gotten this far before.

"You got a nice face young man. What's your name? Are you from around here?" The old woman asked me with a wide smile.
