Double Trouble stood behind Adora's chair in the war room. They leaned over her shoulder, using her as an armrest. Adora didn't seem to mind. Currently they were waiting for Glimmer to appear in her Throne, or perhaps to use the door like a normal person.

"Glimmer isn't going to let you stay for a strategy meeting." Adora warned them.

Double Trouble shrugged, jostling Adora by accident.
"Where would she put me?"

Bow, sitting on the other side of Adora, seemed less worried.
"We aren't actually strategizing today. We're just sharing news and reports. It won't be anything Catra doesn't already know about the Horde's plans."

"Glimmer won't let her stay." Adora said stubbornly. "She can't stand Catra."

"Oh no, Sparkles doesn't like me. How will I survive?" Double Trouble sneered.

Adora rolled her eyes.
"If you want to convince anyone that you're not going to cause problems, you should take this more seriously."

"When have I ever done that?" Double Trouble purred. "Taken something seriously?"

Bow cleared his throat.
"There was that one time you opened a portal..."

Interesting. DT thought, letting their eyes scan over the faded pastel room.

"And you ransacked a defenseless village for supplies." Adora chimed in.
"Like, at least ten times."

Double Trouble waved their hand dismissively.
"That's just war stuff."

"That's just evil stuff." Adora countered, tilting her head up to look at them.
"It's why Glimmer doesn't trust you."

"She'll see soon enough that I'm not doing anything wrong." Double Trouble shot back.
"You've been with me almost every minute for days now. When have I had the chance to sneak off?"

Adora's response was cut off as Glimmer fizzled into sight, taking her place at the head of the table. A permanent scowl seemed to be etched on her face, though she didn't look DT's way. They took this as an opportunity to wedge themself into her awareness.

"Hey, Sparkles. You look thrilled! You must have stopped so many battalions from coming to rescue me." They teased.

Glimmer's lip twitched irritably.
"No one's come to get you."

Double Trouble narrowed their eyes thoughtfully at the Queen.
"Oh? Now, that's interesting. It's almost like I said the exact same thing days ago."

"But why?" Glimmer hissed through her teeth. "You're Hordak's second in command! Why isn't anyone attacking us to get you back?"

"I've not ordered for anyone to rescue me." Double Trouble said simply. "Do you know what this is?"
They pointed to the fake button on their fabricated Horde uniform.
"If I press this, I could send my location and a signal to be tracked back to the Horde. They'd be here in two days."

Glimmer tensed as she locked eyes with the false tracker. She seemed to be considering whether or not they already had used it, but the evidence was all there; No one had come to rescue Double Trouble.

It's a version of the truth... Boring. Double Trouble much more liked the thrill of getting away with a full lie.

"...So why haven't you?" Glimmer demanded. "Why not just send the entire Horde army here right now and get you out?"

"I don't want to." Double Trouble grinned.

"Why not? What are you planning!?" Glimmer roared.

"I want to join the Rebellion." They replied innocently.
