I slowly rose from my bed, my body heavy with a mix of emotional exhaustion and lingering fear

The events of the previous day still lingered in my mind, making it hard to shake off the feeling of vulnerability

I felt drained, both physically and mentally, and the thought of facing another day seemed daunting

I dragged myself into the shower, letting the warm water wash away my sorrows

As I bathed and got ready for school, my movements felt mechanical, my mind still replaying the events of the previous day

I took up my phone from the bed and went downstairs

"Nah bring mi a school?" I asked Teejay, who was smiling at his phone

"Yeh fawud nuh" he got up walking out of the house and into the garage

Upon arriving at school, I went into the bathroom seeking a temporary refuge

I lingered in front of the mirror, staring blankly at my reflection as I tried to gather my thoughts and composed my self

I was thirty minutes late to the exam as I was skeptical about going into the classroom and having to face Tanice

Nesha convinced me to do so and so I went to the classroom

I stopped at the entrance of the door

Taking a deep breath I stepped into the classroom

My eyes darted around the class searching for Tanice but she wasn't there

I let out a sigh of relief collected my paper sat and did the best I could

And the paper wasn't even as bad as I thought

After I finished the exam, Teejay came back for me and I went home
