All Might was trying to wake Izuku up
Jaune was silently in a corner stewing at the fact that he couldn't save his friend and brother from a life and death situation
His hand was shaking as he couldn't believe he froze in a moment of desperation
The look on Izuku's face as he felt shame at his lack of action
Izuku woke up in shock at the Number 1 Hero being there
Izuku: Oh my Gosh! All Might!!!!?
He scrambles around looking for the villain that got him but All Might reassures him and presented a Plastic Bottle with the Slime Villain inside
He relaxed but remembers he wanted to get his autograph but when he opened his Notebook it was already signed
Jaune was still in deep thought
All Might: well that's all folks!
As he prepares to get out of sight Izuku had the marvelous idea of grabbing on to him
He kicks up Dust as he leaps away causing Jaune to cover his face
When things cleared up he looks to Izuku but he was nowhere to be found
Jaune facepalmed knowing Izuku might have gotten himself into trouble again, he then decides to go back home
He knows Izuku will just talk to his Hero and he'll be back
Later that Day
Jaune just aimlessly walked around the city contemplating his failure to protect his brother
Jaune: ( how could I just stand there? Why didn't I move? Izuku needed help!? What is wrong with me?.......Am I a coward?
Then an Image of Inko crying over Izuku's body at a Hospital flood his head
.....No......I need to do better. Not just for myself.....but for Izuku and Miss Inko.)
He then bumped into someone it was Izuku with a broken look on his face
Jaune: Izuku? Are you okay!? What happened?
Izuku: it's nothing.....I'm just bummed out about something.
Jaune: you want to talk about it?
Izuku: No......
Jaune: hmmm I know something that will cheer you up, Katsudon.
That made him perk up and they both went on their way home
But Explosions suddenly occurred nearby as they see Mt. Lady was seen
The two were nearby and Izuku went to see the heroes at work ignoring Jaune's warnings to avoid danger
They saw Backdraft and Kamui Woods on scene doing crowd control and Death Arms doing nothing
He saw Izuku just looking on in worry but when the Slime Villain turned they saw he was holding a hostage
Izuku prayed for the victim knowing what it felt like but when he saw it was Katsuki something in him just snapped
He leapt into action causing the Heroes to call out in concern
Jaune this time didn't hesitate and followed his brother to bail him out if things get too hot
As they ran towards the villain he swung to keep them back but Izuku Dodged pulled out his bag and threw it at him
Jaune noticed that one of the items a notebook hit the slime in the eye causing it to recoil in pain
Jaune: ( I see his eyes is a weak point.....now while he's disoriented we have to get the hostage and Izuku out of there....time to Hero up.)
He then puts on his Gauntlet and readied it's weapons
Izuku was able to grab hold of Katsuki and began pulling him out, he was surprised that another set of hands helped him, only to see it was his big brother
Izuku: Jaune-san!?
Jaune: Focus! PULLLL!!!!!!!
The two pulls as hard as they can and were able to budge Katsuki
Meanwhile in the Crowd
All Might was watching the pair show their Heroic Spirit
All Might: (those kids are risking their lives to save another......and here I am.....afraid of revealing my weakness......NO!!!! A Hero Perseveres through Any adversity!!!!)
He began smoking and then buffing up
The Villain was able to recover and tried forcing the two to back off but Jaune was one step ahead and fired a Repulsor blast at his one weak spot
Slime Villain: MY EYES!!!!!!!!
Jaune: PULLLLLL!!!!
Izuku: YAAAAHH!!!!!
With the renewed pain on the slime's optical nerves he loosened his grip in reflex and the two would be heroes were able to pull Katsuki out of his grasp
Jaune then shoved Izuku and Katsuki back when he noticed the Slime recovering
Izuku: Jaune-san!
Jaune: I think I still have one more shot.
He aims his palm at him for a second blast but only sparks came out as the heat of the surrounding along with the first shot caused a short circuit in the low grade copper wiring of the gadget
He then crosses his arms to block but he felt a tug at his collar as he was pulled back with a booming voice yelling out
All Might: Heroes always Put their Lives on the Line and Go Plus Ultra! This is for you boys!!!!! Texas Smash!!!!!!!!
He launched a Punch so hard it caused a whirlwind and changed the weather resulting in slight rain
The Symbol of Peace stood there towering victorious as the people cheered
Jaune and Izuku were chewed out for their reckless actions
While Katsuki was praised for his 'bravery' for staying calm while being held hostage and his quirk admired for how strong it is
Jaune: ( Bullshit.)
The pair then made their way home until a familiar voice called out to them as they turn to look back to see an angry mutt glaring at them
Katsuki: I didn't ask for your help! So I won't thank you for nothing! Remember this Shitty Nerds! I'll be the Hero and you'll be the dead weight Extras I'll be saving.
He turns with a huff and stomped away
Jaune: the mores thing Change the more they stay the same.
Izuku: I don't think so.
Jaune: elaborate.
Izuku: if he didn't care he wouldn't go after us just to talk. It may be crass be he has his own way of saying things.
Jaune: you're unbearably naïve.
Izuku: yeah, I guess.
Then All Might came around from the Corner to give his trademark speech only for him to deflate and spew out blood
Jaune: What the Fuck!?
