You show me all the love I need but keep it out of reach to me.
You don't want me to leave,
you just want me in your reach. You hang me on a rack
mounted to the hallway wall.I stay still and watch you walk by several times.
At first, you said good morning, then it was goodbye til it turned to nothing at all.
You just completely ignored me.
I was nothing but a coat you could wear and keep on the rack to grab when you felt chilly.
I would keep you warm and cool just like you wanted me to.
I would ask for nothing in return, but you never even gave me a kiss in exchange.
All I ever got was empty snare.
I stepped inside the trap and expected it to go off, but nothing happened.
I stood still and waited for you to come get me, but you just walked me by and ignored me for the last time.
