Lani, Natasha, Wanda, and Lena returned to the compound after a fun day of shopping. As they rode the elevator up to their floor, they excitedly discussed the possibility of wielding Thor's hammer.

Upon reaching their floor, they entered the kitchen and were greeted by the rest of the crew who were taking a coffee break. Warm hellos filled the room as everyone welcomed the girls and vice versa.

Bucky couldn't help but notice Lani's outfit as she entered the room. Her choice of attire, a form-fitting floral patterned skirt that ended mid-thigh paired with a light blue crop top, caught his attention. Her radiant smile as she greeted everyone warmed his heart, and he couldn't help but wish he was the cause of that joyful expression.

He sensed Sharon moving closer, and then felt her hands on his shoulders. Despite his attempt to shake her off, he found himself unable to do so. He shot her a stern look, but she simply responded with a forced smile.

Lani made her way over to her dad, leaning against him as he put his arm around her.

"Hey, kid," he greeted her.

Taking in the scene, Lani noticed Sharon standing beside Bucky, gently rubbing his shoulder and smiling warmly at him. A pang of hurt shot through Lani as she observed their interaction.

"Hello Lani," Sharon greeted Lani with a tight-lipped smile that didn't reach her eyes.

Lani felt a surge of annoyance towards Sharon, especially now that she knew Sharon had her eyes set on Bucky.

"Hey Sharon," Lani replied, mirroring Sharon's insincere smile.

"What, no hug? Didn't you miss me?" Sharon pouted, attempting to prompt a warm response.

Lani mustered as much sweetness as she could and replied, "Not much," before turning to her best friend and exchanging an eye roll.

As she looked back at the group, she couldn't help but notice Sam snickering and her dad faking coughing in a failed attempt to stifle his laughter.

The rest of the group wore awkward expressions, but her attention was drawn to Bucky, who was already gazing at her with a smug expression.

He witnessed her abrupt shift in mood, and it caused his ego to swell as he observed her becoming so agitated about him and Sharon.

His smirk vanished quickly when Sharon, looking furious, slapped his shoulder, prompting him to roll his eyes.

Not to make matters even worse Wanda changed the subject back to their previous conversation hoping to ease the tension in the room.

"Guys, what do you think if Hulk picked up Thor whilst Thor was holding the Mjollnir? Does that mean Hulk picked up the Mjollnir therefore is he worthy?" Thor looked confused and slightly worried while others looked deep in thought.

Lena rolled her eyes at Wanda "No Wanda we've been over this. Hulk picked up Thor and Thor picked up the Mjollnir. There is no other explanation."

"Yes, I agree with the little Widow." Thor's booming voice filled the kitchen. He barely recovered from Steve being able to lift his Mjollnir, and he was in no mood to find out someone else also could.

Lani's giggle filled the room catching the attention of the Avengers and guests. Bucky gazed over to her enjoying the angelic sound coming from her direction.

"Okay, hang on, ladies," she began trying to stop the laughter. "If, hypothetically, I go to a bar and pick up a random dude, and he picks up a girl, and then we all leave together, does that mean that I picked up a random chick?"
