As the friend group approached the shop that the coastal guard was currently occupying Pope, Kie, and Sky stood outside waiting for JJ and John B. Just from standing at the front door Sky could still pick up on some of the conversations happening within the commotion.

"Did she just say something about a diabetic dog?" Skylar asked Kie who stood next to her equally confused.
"Hey." JJ whispered while snapping his fingers in her direction bringing her back to what was happening with the group.
"Well, that went well." Pope said once away from the loud noises.

"So, what's the plan?" JJ asked out loud.
"I know how we're gonna find the guy who owns that boat." John b said while taking out the random motel key that they just found.

"No. We don't know whose room that is. It could belong to anyone." Pope quickly worried.

"I'm in." JJ said throwing the keys out of John b's hands into Sky's. "Come on. I'll be lookout." Kie said from the side of Skylar. "It can't hurt to go check it out." After Skylar's sentence everyone besides Pope started going back towards the HMS Pogue.

"Finders fee. Just sayin'." John b said to Pope.
"And, hey, at least you'll only be an accomplice."

"I thought the château looked bad." JJ commented after seeing the trashy motel.

"This place is a shit show." John b said next.

"Motel or meth lab?" Kiara asked.

"You be the judge." Pope spoke up.

"Definitely meth lab." Sky said.

"Doesn't look like a place somebody with a Grady-White would stay." John b said.

"No. Looks like a place someone with a Grady-White would get killed." Pope spoke.
"Hey maybe we'll finally find that dead body Pope." Skylar said to the boy.
"Not funny." He said back. "Just a little." She said with a smirk.

"This is your captain speaking. HMS Pogue comin' in for landing." JJ spoke into his hand then jumping out and stopping the boat. "Whoo!"

"We good?" John b asked JJ after he finished tying the boat down. "Yeah, we good."
"All right. Here goes nothin'." John b spoke before getting stop by Pope.

"Don't let him do anything stupid." Pope pointed towards the Maybank boy. "Oh, we will." JJ replied for him. "I'm not making promises." John said back to Pope. "Yeah, I know." He spoke softly.

When John b turned to Skylar she said the only thing she could think of. "Uh, be careful." She then handed him the motel keys. "I mean it." She said more serious this time. The trio left on the boat watched as the two troublesome boys went towards the upstairs of the motel. The friends had stayed in silence most of the time until Pope turned around and started asked Kie random questions.

"Biggest pet peeve?"
"Yeah."
"Easy. Giving one percent to the environment."
"What's wrong with that?" Pope asked her.
"We only have one Earth, Pope. We should be giving it 100 percent, bare minimum."
"No, bare minimum should be at least recycling. I mean imagine if you were a bird and you were starving and wanted to eat food just for it to be plastic." Skylar said to the duo. " Humans are seriously annoying." She scoffed.

"Ok, that's not fiscally sound."

"Neither is destroying the only planet we have to live on." Both the girls said to the boy.
