So there's a moment in every kid' s life when you feel like anything's possible. When you feel like you've got the total mojo. You could, I don't know, free-climb El Capitan, land on Mars, or, uh...get elected president. The whole world's there for the taking if you've got the sack to go for it. And then, when you least expect it, some Kook shows up and tells you there's no external mystery. And then all that talk about free-climbing and Mars and the president...bullshit. Magic gets cancer and dies.

Frustrated, failed, defeated, and disappointed.
Those were the feelings each Pogue had when they looked into the camera connected to the drone that had showed absolutely no treasure. Ship wreck, yes, but treasure, no.

"It's not there." John B sighed. Look, just-just pull the drone up." John B said to Pope.

"Look, we can do another pass. Recharge the battery. We can- we can go back down." Pope suggested to his friend.

"Guys, we've been through it three times. There's nothing there." JJ shouted from the wheel.

"Shut up!" Sky shouted to the boy.
"What? It's true!"

"The gold could be buried. We don't know." Kie said.

"If it was there, it would've been found on the metal detector, okay?" John B shouted to his friends. "Somebody beat us to it."

"Or it was never there." JJ mumbles to himself but everyone ends up hearing him. The boat ride back to the island was quiet as the friend group of 5 all felt defeated.

The Pogues had failed to find the treasure so Sky had went home to shower and change for work. Kiara picked her up and they both went to 'The Wreck' for their shared shift. See you can't understand Skylar and Kiara's friendship without understand their past.

They both have parents who pushed them into becoming Kooks and hanging out with them, which led them to their Kook years. When Sky's dad left, every man in her life had stepped up to become some type of parental guidance to the girl. When Sky met Kie, she also met her parents, who instantly fell in love with her. Anna and Mike had treated Skyler like their own daughter. They gave her a job down at 'The Wreck' and even started becoming protective of her when she hung out with the Pogues. They both understood the feeling of adults controlling their lives, the pain Sarah had caused them, and the pain of returning to the Pogue boys, who were all soon about to mourn the loss of Big John.

When Sky started her shift she tied up her hair into a low ponytail and wore an apron to keep her clothes clean that she would also be wearing to the movie tonight. "What would you like to get?" She asked her first table not even realizing who it was at first. "Miller?"

"Hey, Skyler." He said, which caused the girl to cringe a little at the sound of her full name. "I'll take a large shrimp basket with mini burgers and a side of fries." He told the girl.

"All that for you?" She questioned. "No, the whole group is here." He explained, but it seemed like he was distracted as he started turning his head to look around the restaurant. "Kie's, cleaning tables outside. If that's who you're looking for." The boy turned to the girl with a flushed face as she started chuckling messing with the boy. He cleared his throat. "I'm actually here for Mr. Carrera." "Oh all ready asking the parents for permission I see." Skyler joked again which once again leaves the boys face flushed.
