To say that Luke was surprised of my suggestion of an activity would be an understatement. He made sure every second minute that I really wanted to do it while looking at me in disbelief every time, which was quite amusing.

He switched the radio music and exchanged it to his own, apparently to one of his favorite bands. I listened to the lyrics carefully since that's always what I do first.

"Are you absolutely, a hundred percent sure?" Luke glanced at me, causing me to roll my eyes once again and nod.

"I'm more than sure. I've always wanted one and tonight's my chance." I shrugged and put my feet on the dashboard, playing with the red bandana.

"No way have that good old girl Elena always wanted a tattoo." He said in disbelief and knitted his eyebrows.

"I have!" I exclaimed in a high pitch voice and punched him weakly. He chuckled before quietly humming along with the song that was playing. I on the other hand just enjoyed listening to him and closed my eyes for a moment.

"Elena, look." He said after a while, making me look up almost immediately. After noticing we were driving on a bridge, my eyes darted to the sea to the left of us, being illuminated by the moonlight.

My jaw almost dropped at the sight, because it was just so beautiful. It wasn't even pitch black outside yet so the amazing shade of dark blue shifted behind the clouds. Luke glanced over at me with a crooked smile, and I couldn't help but to smile back.

"Wow." I breathed out after a while and sucked on my lower lip. I had to literally stare at him if I wanted to be able to see the sea and the sky, which might have seemed funny. It wouldn't surprise me if he actually thought I was staring at him.

"Take a-"

"-Picture, it'll last longer." I finished for him, also sending him a look which clarified how predicable he is, and nudged his arm with my elbow.

"I wasn't going to say that." He denied, making me roll my eyes.

"Really? What were you going to say? Take a snapchat, it'll last longer?"

"Oh, shut up, redhead." He muttered with a smirk plastered on his face. I laughed before turning the volume up a bit, being delighted by his music taste.

"Okay, blondie." I sighed dramatically, playing with the hem of my top. Soon later, I felt my eyelids getting heavier and I was slowly dozing off. Well, until the speed of the car slowed down and made a rather abrupt turn.

Luke managed to find a town nearby with some help from his GPS and bit his lower lip. I gazed at him every now and then until he parked on a street. Stretching my whole body, I surveyed everything around us and frowned slightly.

"What is it?" He asked, seeming extremely concerned and clutched my cheek. I examined his face before shaking my head and seizing his hand gently.

"Nothing, just a bit tired." I shrugged. His expression softened up and he caressed my cheekbone carefully. "This town looks awfully spooky."

"It's not exactly New York." He shrugged casually, earning a quiet laugh from me. We both stepped out of the car simultaneously before he opened the trunk and grabbed the backpack, which was good because I don't think none of us would even risk leaving it there.

"You look so adorable, Hemmings." I cooed, completely aware that it would bug him. He glared at me, but wrapped his arm around my waist nonetheless.

"Anyways, Stathos, are you absolutely positive that you want a tattoo? Because to our luck, that place is still open." He said while nodding to a slightly shabby local.
