Sorry Mom and Jerome…

But I’ll ditch the check-up.

Morning.

Krisantha alarm was ringing all over her bedroom. She groans, she hates that sound. She's still not waking up, Five more minutes.. she said to herself.

After 5 minutes, her alarm was ringing again. This time she wakes up. She doesn't have a choice though. She reached her phone from her side table and turned off the alarm, it's now 6:30. She put her password on it and went straight to her messages.

There's nothing much to see, she thought.

After checking her phone, she decided to tidy up her bed. After doing it, she went to her bathroom and did her morning routine hygiene. Then, she went to her closet to choose an outfit and in her mind she just wanted a comfortable outfit to be comfortable enough for their rehearsal.

She chose a white crop top and red track pants, with a pair of white sneakers.

Done choosing her outfit

Done choosing her outfit. She then went downstairs to make herself breakfast. What should I cook? she thought.

After thinking about what she wants, she cooked fried rice with mixed vegetables, bacon, and a sunny-side-up egg.

After eating and washing her dishes, she went upstairs to shower and to get ready.

Fast forward…

She's now done getting ready. She's all set, her outfit was comfortable and cute, her makeup was light, and her bag was full of her necessary items. All she needs to do is to go to their studio.

She booked a grab and went outside to wait for it, she checked the time and now it's 7:30 AM. After a few minutes, her grab driver arrived. She let herself in the car and told the driver her destination.

She's guilty. She feels it, she just avoids it. She knows what she did today was not right and her mother would be mad. She also knows that this recklessness could cause something bad for her health.

On the other hand, she felt that her decision was right. She knows it's wrong but It felt right. Krisantha thought that she couldn’t ignore her career, which was just beginning. She felt like she was climbing a staircase, each step bringing her closer to her dream—a dream where everyone would be proud of her, appreciate her, adore her, love her, care for her, and would not..

leave.. her..

All her life, she wants to feel that all. She wants to know how that feels. She wanted to feel that sense of belonging, of being whole, because for so long, she had felt incomplete, like a puzzle missing a piece.

For most of her life, she thought her father was that missing piece. But she realized she was wrong.

That missing piece was Krisantha, herself.
