"Dabi! Get your ass out here!" Shigaraki's coarse voice echoed from the bar.
Dabi groaned and gave me a glance. Our eyes held for a moment longer than usual before he averted his gaze, squeezing my shoulder lightly as he stood and made his way out of my room.
Honestly, I'm not sure what just occurred. But one thing is certain: it has cemented my feelings for Dabi. My heart is pounding. What was that about? Dabi isn't known to be gentle and caring, at least not towards me. Was it out of pity?
Reaching for a chicken nugget, I realized they were all gone.
"That whore ate all my nuggets," I grumbled to myself in annoyance.
Feeling ravenous, I let out a sigh, pushing the navy blue blanket off and slowly getting up from my full-size bed. Ugh, I'm really not in the mood for people, and now I have to rummage through the kitchen. As I open the door, there's Dabi, about to knock.
"OH, um, hi," I manage, still taken aback by our earlier encounter.
"Hi, um, I brought you more food since I kinda ate all of yours," he says with a chuckle.
"Oh my god, hand it over, I'm starving!"
I reach out and grab the burger from his hands. It's not my chicken nuggets, but my hunger is so intense I'd eat just about anything. I hastily unwrap the burger and take a big bite.
"So, random question, but do you want to go up to the roof with me?"
I look up at Dabi, nearly forgetting he was there in my famished state.
"Sure," I reply with a smile, following him out of the room towards the stairs leading to the roof.
We reach the roof and settle on the ledge, gazing upward.
"The stars are so beautiful," I remark.
"Yeah," he sighs, resting his head on my shoulder, an unexpected but not unwelcome gesture. I drape my wing around him, and together we embrace the tranquility, our eyes fixed on the celestial canvas above. It's reminiscent of times with Toya, years back. Sharing this moment with another feels almost like a betrayal of those memories.
...
We fall back, consumed with laughter. As our laughter subsides and our breathing steadies, Toya turns to me and asks, "Do you want to go to the roof with me?"
"That's random," I say with a smile, "but sure."
"Okay," he replies, grinning as he springs up from the ground in our shared 'dorm' at the commission. It feels more like a prison cell, honestly. He looks down at me, still sprawled on the floor, and extends his hand. I grasp it, and just as I'm nearly upright, he lets go.
"You jerk!" I shout, incredulous as I fall back down. He just laughs and climbs out the window.
"Hey, wait up," I call out, rising swiftly to follow him through the window.
Once I reach the roof, I find Toya already there, seated with his knees drawn up, gazing at the stars. His beauty strikes me, and I realize I'm falling for him. He diverts his attention from the heavens to meet my gaze. The moments when our eyes meet, when I can peer into his, are what I cherish most. He offers a smile and pats the space on the roof beside him, inviting me to join him.
I walk over and take a seat beside him, murmuring, "It's beautiful out here."
"Yeah," he sighs, leaning his head against my shoulder.
Silently, we stay like this, looking up at the stars.
I am so in love with this boy.

Another update! I have really enjoyed writing this story so far. It has changed a lot since the first time I wrote it but I'm loving it and I'll update again soon.
