Mackenzie

I was beyond done with Dominic I was going to have sex with him hoping the tension between us would dissipate and everything would go back to normal. Yes sounds horrible I know, but that's didn't happen no his fiancé called him and he left immediately hardly sparing me a glance. I should be happy but a part of me hated it.

I hated this feeling I was having. Jealous yet we aren't even together he belongs to someone else. Then why is he wanting to do this to her? If he's doing this to her he'd do it to me.

I don't even know why I'm thinking about that but I am. I grabbed his tie and threw it on my bed being frustrated both sexually and emotionally.

I craved him on a level that I didn't even know I had. I wonder what Caroline needed that he left in such a rush. His mood went from sexual to stone cold immediately. I checked my phone 9:56 pm and I couldn't sleep. Tomorrow I had work and I knew that I wouldn't let him touch me.

The next day

I showed up to work early a coffee in hand and tote in the other. I decided I'd go to Dominic's office first and drop off the tie and make it clear that there won't be anything happening between us anymore.

I knocked on the door and Caroline opened the door. Well there goes my plan! I smiled "hi Caroline sorry to interrupt I just wanted to talk to Mr. Frost something about business" I said she nodded and opened the door.

When I walked in the mood in here didn't seem right to my left sat two unfamiliar people who looked rather angry, and sitting in front of Dominic was his parents that I recognized from pictures on the magazines.

"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting I can come back" I said looking at Dominic who looked at me with no emotion "no it's fine what do you need Ms. Jones make it quick" I nodded.

I had to come up with something fast with all these prying eyes "I found the mole" I said surprising even myself with why I said that. He stood up "everyone get out Ms. Jones stay!" He said his hands on the desk commanding the room.

"Well I for one want to hear who it is son since it happened under my leadership" Dominic nodded and everyone else left.

I suddenly felt very nervous and pulled out the file out of my purse and the tie fell to the floor. I cursed myself why was my purse out of all the days full.

"You dropped this Ms. Jones" Dominic's father said handing me the tie "thank you sorry for that" I looked at Dominic who finally smirked and looked at the tie then me. I'm sure memories of yesterday were crossing his mind.

"Okay so what's the plan Dominic" his father said and threw the files down Dominic did a quick scan and looked rather annoyed "this fucking bastard" he closed the file.

"We'll plant bait and wait for him to take it when that happens we intercept him and question him and bring down Mayan once and for all" we both nodded.

"Sounds good" his father said I then saw his lip looked rather fat and had a cut on it. What happened? "I'll leave Ms. Jones here so you can congratulate her on her find" Dominic nodded.

Once he exited the room Dominic turned around looking outside his window at the view of the ocean. We both stayed silent. I knew exactly what I was going to say when I got here however my mind was now blank.

"Are you okay?" Was words I didn't expect myself asking him right now but I couldn't help the fact that he looked miserable.

"This can never happen again" he said and my chest tightened. I came here to say the same thing but hearing him say that made me realize he wasn't going to try and challenge me when I would have said it. It was really over with whatever it was that we did have.

"I agree" I said faintly I placed the tie on his desk "I'm sorry if I interrupted anything before I'll take my leave now" he finally turned around "congratulations on finding out who the mole was" he said with no emotion and his hands in his pockets, his feet rooted where he stood.

I nodded looking into those cold blue eyes searching for any type of emotion "thank you sir" I said and turned around and left his office. When I closed the door I stayed there for a little while looking at the clock on his secretary's desk. People would soon start filing in, but before that happened I closed my eyes and let everything sink in.
