Clarissa's POV
Entering Dorie's patient room, I see Olivia standing there by herself confused at what to do and my eyebrows raised in confusion because Izzie was supposed to watch her.
"Sorry Olivia. I had to get something to drink. Where is Izzie?"
"She left as soon as your mom left saying she's not helping unless she gets a surgery." Olivia says before I help her with the ultrasound and become overwhelmed. If Dorie becomes sick it's going to be my fault for leaving her!
"Please page Dr. Montgomery." Olivia sees my distress and does what I'm asking her.
"You're not at fault Clarissa. Izzie is because she was asked to keep an eye on Dorie. You have the right to have a break too." Olivia calmly tells me when Mama enters the and sees my distress.
"I thought you were taking a break." Mama tells me.
"She was but Izzie left so I paged her since we're doing the ultrasound." Olivia tells Mama who injects Dorie with something.
"I've loaded her up with magnesium. Start monitoring her for toxicity." Mama tells me when Dorie moans in pain and my eyes widened in fear.
"Uh it's too soon. They can't come yet." Dorie says when Tom enters the room and immediately runs to his wife's side.
"What is it? What's going on?" Tom asks us.
"Dorie is having contractions."
"The babies' vital signs are stable but your placenta is laying low. We're going to have to keep a close eye on that. We want to keep them in there as long as possible." Mama tells the couple.
"How are you keeping them in there if she's already having contractions?" Tom asks.
"It's alright they can stop them. You're going to trendelenburg me, right?" Dorie tells us.
"Why yes I am. You've done your reading Dorie." Mama says before starting to pack up the ultrasound equipment.
"I did it with the triplets. Gravity, remember Tom? It worked fine then and it'll be fine now." Dorie explains to both Mama and her husband.
