MINGYU's POV

I talked to Wonwoo, about the kids and their safety. He can't believe what he was hearing but when it comes to the kid's safety, he will never take a chance.

"I am sorry, Wonwoo"

"It's not your fault, don't apologise for something you didn't do, it's your father who should pay for all the evil deeds he had done."

"We need to provide maximum security for the kids to make sure he can't harm them, Wonwoo, I know what my father can do and I am scared for our kids, I am pathetic. I can't even think of a way to make sure of their safety."

"We will find a way Mingyu, I will try to ask father for help, I am mad at what he did to Sunoo so I stopped talking to him for a while but I can't think of anyone who can help."
Wonwoo must be in a different spot as of the moment needing the help of his father, I wouldn't like the thought of it too, however, the children are at stake. For now, I will just let him do his job but after we take care of this, I am dealing with him for what he did to Sunoo.

"I will make sure that the kids are safe on my end, do what you have to do." the feeling that he has some kind of trust that somehow I will make sure our kids won't be harmed, feels good in my heart.

Now, I decided to hire an investigator to look for this Doh Kyungsoo my mother told me about. Maybe he is the key, no I know, he is the key to stop my father's evil rampage.

The person I hired is not from the police force nor any agency that my father has a connection to. Looking for one is really difficult because my father had eyes everywhere, I need to make my moved as discreet as possible.

Fortunately, I found one who is perfect for the job.

JUNGKOOK's POV

My new mission is to watch Kim Mingyu's every move. Uncle warned me not to do anything rash, just monitor. He knows very well that Wonwoo already told him about the kids so uncle is curious to know his true intentions.

In a few weeks of trailing him, I discovered he was looking for a person, and the name of that person was Doh Kyungsoo...

What does that bastard need from my mother?

I needed to make sure he wouldn't harm him, I want to know what his intentions are and in so doing, I pretended to be a private investigator and approached him online.

I told him I was a private investigator with so much hatred towards his father. It took a while for him to trust me because I appeared a bit dodgy at first. I was shocked when I learned he was after my mother that I lost reason and just jumped in without thinking and planning how to properly approach him.

I am a private investigator with considerable years of experience and I would like to help you with this case.

In interacting with him, I used the name Joe Kelly. I never reuse any alias in my missions, it makes it more difficult to track me.

"Who are you? How did you know I am looking for an investigator."

He asked sounding so weary and doubtful.

"I have my sources, Mr. Kim. I heard you are quite desperate too. Rest assured, I have nothing but resentment towards your father. I am on your side."

"I can't easily believe you, there are so many at stake here, how can you prove your loyalty?"

"I know where Doh Kyungsoo is... is that enough?".
