The Words We Don't Say

Osamu had been going back to practice for a week now, and he'd gotten his new routine down pretty well. He got there, spent a solid twenty minutes stretching, assured the coach multiple times he was good to play, and then finally then finally got to go onto the court.

And by the end of practice he was usually completely exhausted. Which wasn't the worst, except when he had appointments after.

Suna sat on the bench next to Osamu and sighed. "Some of us are going out to eat. Wanna come?"

"Nothing sounds more delightful to me than food right now," Osamu muttered. "But I have a chemo appointment."

"After you just had practice?"

Osamu winced. "Technically I was supposed to stay home and rest until my appointment."

"Osamu Miya are you serious right now."

He sighed before directing a pouty face at his friend. "You try staying at home with nothing to do. My teachers won't even let me do my work at home on the days I miss!"

"Fine. I'm going with you though."

"What?"

Suna stood up and stretched. "Well your brother is going to that camp thing tonight right? And I'm assuming he needs your parents to take him."

Well, he wasn't wrong. And Osamu did appreciate that Suna didn't want him to be alone. But it's not like there would be much for him to do, and he would most certainly get bored.

"You don't want to go with the rest of the team?"

"Nah." Suna shrugged. He looked back at Osamu and gave him a small smile. "I hang out with them enough as is. So, are you coming?"

Osamu smiled and looked to where his friend sat next to him. He sighed and shook his head. That had to have been the third time he caught Suna with his phone aimed at him.

"Are you taking bad pictures of me again?"

"No."

"Suna I literally caught you in the act. Heard the shutter sound and all."

Suna shrugged. "Yeah. But it wasn't a bad picture. I think you look quite good actually."

He showed his phone to Osamu and smiled. The twin didn't think there was anything special about it, in fact, he was looking a little pale today, but if Suna was so pleased by his work then maybe there was something to it.

Besides, he thought it was cute that Suna, who always hid the pictures he took, actually wanted to show him.

"Okay fine, you win. It's not a horrible picture."

Suna smirked at his victory. "So other than the obvious," he glanced towards the IV in Osamu's arm, "how do you feel?"

"Tired."

"Do you want me to go?"

Osamu shook his head. "Nah, it'd be so boring without you here."

"Is that so?"

"What would I do for the next thirty minutes, stare at my phone? Besides someone has to take me home."

Suna glared at him.

"What?"

"Am I just a taxi service to you?"

Osamu put a hand over his heart and feigned disbelief. "Suna, I can't believe you'd think such things! You are so much more than that." He grinned. "The taxi service is just a plus."

"You're a pain in the ass."

"You love me."

"I love your brother more," Suna teased. He crossed his arms and watched as Osamu rolled his eyes.

"That's what they all say."

The rest of Osamu's appointment consisted mostly of Suna taunting him about various things. And in the end he did get some very, very bad pictures.

And after Suna dropped him off that night, Osamu kinda wished he'd stayed with him even longer.
