Chapter 5 - At home with the Swans

*Bella*

It was Wednesday afternoon and I had just got back from Jake’s I walked in to find Katie and Edward making out on the sofa I cleared my throat “oh sorry.” She blushed red “Hello Bella” Edward smiled then looked back at Katie “err dad will be home soon” I commented “oh its cool he approves of him dating me.” WHAT! He never liked when me and he were together “wow. Awesome” I dropped my bag and went to cook dinner.

I heard dad come in “oh Edward here again” I presumed he nodded “we were doing homework then we finished” he answered there was a giggle “so Kat are you looking at universities are you looking at “Florida state. They have a good Dance program” she replied.

*Charlie*

Katie and Edward looked good together I don’t know why but the just seem in sync not like Edward and Bells. I admit I treat Bella as my favourite sometimes but I love my daughters equally. “Well I should be off I’ll see you tomorrow” he kiss Katie’s forehead “night Chief Swan” he nods his head to me and I return it. The door shuts and Bella calls us for dinner “oh dad while I was at Edward with the girls we did the mini photo shoot thing and they printed them off” she handed me a small frame “you did say you didn’t have a recent one of me” she smiled “thanks” I put it on the side and we began eating

After we finished dinner Bella went to do homework while Katie tided up

*Katie*

After I finished tidying up I went up to bed and Skype with Scotty and Alex. “hey guys what’s up” I wave “they sky” Scotty replied and Alex hit his head “so are you coming to this open mic night on Saturday” Alex asked me “sure why not dad will most likely say yes” they both high fived “oh yeah and the girls want to meet you bloke” I rolled my eyes Saffy and Lexi were right snobs wore to much make up its unreal they never liked me. Oh well “hey don’t roll you eyes at us” Alex scolded “it’s not my fault you have a poor choice in girls. All they do is check out other lads flirt with mine and tell me how I sound like a whale” I narrowed my eyes at them “that their way of is nice” Scotty defended.

“Yeah totally and if that true you two are gay” I huffed Scotty spit on his drink and it became all misty “Katie you ass” I laugh my head off. “Bells, Jacob’s here” dad shouted “was that your dad we heard “Alex asked I nodded “Jacobs here oh I didn’t tell you did I well you know how Bella was going out with a dude called Edward who is now my boyfriend” the nodded “wait you’re going out with your sisters ex” I shushed him “anyway she CHEATED on Edward with Jacob who found out the same time as me dumped her then fell for me anyway Jake and Bella are together while me and Edward are together” I told them their mouths dropped

 “Bella was bad” they asked in unison “yep. Oh can my dad come he’s never seen me perform as well as my other friends you know have a half of the audience cheering for us” the smiled “sure thing. Being back home looks good on Katy (pronounced Katee) “Scotty commented “well I’m saying by to you losers I have people to ask laters” I waved at them and ended the call.

 I jogged downstairs “dad?” he looked at me “I was wondering if you wanted to see me perform at a mic night in Seattle” I questioned “sure why not” I ran and hugged him I went to get my mobile I called Alice who asked the others including Edward they were all in I couldn’t wait this was going to be epic.

*Jake*

I was with Bella in her room “yes on Saturday mic night me and the lads got through.... I know so I’m inviting a bunch of people... the only bad this about it is the boys hags are gonna be there they’re awful... would he oh that would be hilarious... no I haven’t asked them... cause I still feel betrayed if she just out right admitted I wouldn’t be as pissed but ah...hi Rosie... yeah you can do my hair...yes Alice you can do my makeup” we heard Katie saying as she walked back and forth “I’m just getting the stuff now... you could have told me that sooner I have to put all of it back... which the red one... hang on”

 Katie came in “Bella do you still have my red dress” she nodded and pointed to the wardrobe she walked over and held the phone between her shoulder and ear “ah yes found it... yeah it was in Bella’s room” she took the dress and went out “okay love you too tell Edward I’ll ring him... oh cool...bye Ally”

“Does that always happen” I ask “what?”  She looked at me “acknowledge you when she wants something” I clarify she nods “only lately” she adds I get up and storm out. I walk into Katie’s room “what is your problem why are you treating Bella like shit” I yelled “I was always taught if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all” she didn’t look up from her computer “you’re such a bitch she does one wrong thing and it’s all over” she got up crabbed my arm and twisted it to my back “if you ever come near me again acting like that I’ll have dad do you for harassment” she yells then shoves me out her door slams shut.

Bella comes out in tears “leave Jake you’ve just made her worse.” She goes back to her room I slouch and leave “Jacob” Charlie calls out I stop and he comes up to me “look you’re a good kid but whatever is going on between you and my girls its best if you stay away for a while” I nod  and turn around “oh and Jacob.” He calls again “Katie is right if you speak to her like that again I will arrest ya” he gives a quick smile before me leave.

This night was a bust.
