Trigger Warning: Bullying
Elizabeth's pov
I was currently sitting on my bed and scrolling through my phone. It was the following day after New Years and there wasn't really much to do today. I was on TikTok when a message came through on my phone.
Tay Tay😱: Hey sweeeeeettttiiieeeee, can you come here? I need to talk to you😚
I chuckled to myself. "She's so deathly millennial." I hopped up off of the bed and started walking down to the living room where I assumed she was.
Sure enough, when I walked into the living room, Taylor was sitting on the couch with her laptop.
"Taylor?" I called out nervously and she turned her head to me. "Oh, hey honey! I just need to talk to you real fast."
I gulped and started walking to the couch. I hated it when people said they needed to talk to me 'cause it usually meant I was in trouble.
I sat down on the couch and Taylor threw an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer. "Relax." She laughed, sensing my nerves. "You're not in trouble. I just have a question."
I nodded and slowly sunk into her side. "Ok." I mumbled.
"Alright. So, I was just wondering about what we were gonna do about school? I mean, right now I'm taking a well deserved break from everything so it's completely okay if you wanna keep going to this same school but by the time I'll start moving around everywhere are you gonna wanna go with me? Because then we can look into homeschooling. Or I guess I could have my mom stay here while I'm gone if you really wanna stay at this same school. You also have the option to just homeschool now if you want." Taylor explained.
"I wanna go with you when you leave." I replied.
Taylor nodded. "Okay, that's fine by me. But that means you'll probably gonna have to switch to homeschool."
"I'm fine with that." I smiled. "But I do wanna stay in school for right now."
"That's totally fine by me." Taylor replied, tightening her grip around my shoulders. "Thankfully Nashville is a lot chiller than a lot of other places so I'll probably be able to take you to school and pick you up most days. But on days I can't, one of my body guards will. They're incredibly nice though so I'm sure you'll love them."
I nodded. "Okay."
"So, you have to be at school at eight and you get out at three, right?" Taylor asked and I nodded again. "Yep." And then I quickly remembered the three more detentions I have to get through and I cleared my throat.
"Uhm, actually, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I need to get picked up at four." I said nervously.
"Oh, okay. Why?"
I remained silent for a few seconds but Taylor didn't say anything, probably sensing that I was too nervous to say.
"Liz? What's going on?" Taylor said.
"It's just- uh, I have detention... those days." I mumbled, preparing for Taylor to yell at me.
"You got detention?" She replied and I nodded shyly. "Why?"
"Uhm, because I was five seconds late, not even exaggerating, actually five seconds late, and the teacher got mad at me and it started off as like one week but I might have gotten a little bit upset and cussed at her so she upped it to three." I admitted.
"Elizabeth." Taylor sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"In my defense!" I continued. "I wasn't really worried about getting in trouble by anyone at the orphanage." She shrugged.
