Elizabeth's pov
"Okay, does everything look okay?" Taylor asked, looking around the room.
"Yes, everything looks great." I replied. Today, Taylor's boyfriend, Travis, is getting here to spend some time with Taylor and to meet me, I guess.
Taylor never told me what reaction Travis had to finding out that Taylor is taking care of a child but I hope it isn't bad. I really don't want Taylor to have to choose between me and Travis, 'cause I doubt she'd pick me. Not that I don't think she likes me. I'm just used to not being anyone's first choice, I guess.
"Okay, if you're sure. It needs to be perfect." Taylor replied and I rolled my eyes at her. "Taylor, I doubt Travis would get upset and leave if a picture frame was slightly crooked."
"What? Which one?" Taylor asked, looking at the picture frames that lined the walls.
"That was just an example, Tay. Everything looks great." I said.
"Okay. Well, he should be here soon and dinner's almost done so do you mind setting the table?" Taylor asked, jutting her bottom lip out.
I nodded, getting to my feet and heading into the kitchen, playfully saluting to Taylor on the way.
I quickly set the table while Taylor remained in the living room, probably fixated on a crumb on the floor or something.
After I finished setting the table, I walked back in the living room right as the doorbell went off. Taylor squealed. "Ahhh! He's here!"
I covered my ears in surprise. "Woah- warn a girl next time."
"Sorry." Taylor apologized quickly before heading off towards the door. I followed behind her slowly, keeping my distance.
She opened the door and quickly launched herself into a hug with the other man. Of course I knew Travis Kelce. I've been a swiftie forever and followed along with their relationship online, but I was yet to tell Taylor about my past with a man I used to know and Travis was just so... tall and muscly, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared, even if Travis ended up being the nicest person ever.
I waited patiently as they greeted each other, sharing kisses. When I saw videos online, it was cute, but now that it's in person and Taylor's pretty much like my mom now, it makes me feel weird to watch this.
When Travis started gripping Taylor's waist, I cleared my throat. "Uh, hello? Young child present."
Taylor and Travis broke apart, both looking at me. "Oh, right! Liz, this is my boyfriend, Travis. Trav, this is Liz."
Travis smiled at me. He let go of Taylor and walked up to me, basically towering over me since I wasn't very tall, only 5'3.
"Hey, I'm Travis. Taylor's told me a lot about you." Travis smiled warmly, reaching out a hand to shake mine.
Nervously, I grabbed his hand and shook it. "Hello."
Travis chuckled before Taylor finally stepped into stop the awkwardness. "Alright, well, lunch is probably done by now so let's go eat, and then we might go to the living room to watch a movie."
Both Travis and I nodded and we followed Taylor into the kitchen so she could get the food out of the oven. "You like gnocchi pasta, Liz, right? I realized I didn't even ask." Taylor said, stirring the pot on the stove.
"Uh, I've never had it and have never heard of it." I shrugged and heard a gasp. I looked over and Travis was staring at me with his mouth open, like I had just betrayed him. "You've never had gnocchi before? It's so good!"
