Taylor's pov
"Just one more week!" Travis exclaimed happily while we were talking on the phone, through FaceTime.
"Yep! I'm so excited." I smiled. I haven't told Travis about Liz yet but I knew I'd have to tell him before he got here, I just had to figure out when exactly.
"Are you doing anything for New Years?" Travis asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Uh, I decided not to throw a big party or anything but I'll probably have a good couple of friends over that are in town." I replied.
"Oh, okay. Sounds fun! I'm sad we won't get to have a New Years kiss, though." Travis said, and I could see his pout through the phone.
"Awe, I know baby. But we can share one when you get back! Along with other things." I smirked suggestively.
"I'm looking very forward to it." Travis replied, smirking as well. I heard a knock at the door and I glanced at it before turning back to Travis. "I've gotta go, baby, I'll talk to you tomorrow though. Love you!"
"Love you, too!" Travis replied, smiling before we hung up. "Come in!" I yelled towards the door and it opened slowly.
"Taylor?" Liz spoke quietly and I couldn't help but chuckle at adorably nervous she sounded.
"What's up, sweetie?" I asked, flipping over on my bed to face her.
"Uhm, am I allowed to ask for something for dinner?" She asked shyly.
I laughed. "Of course, honey. What do you want?"
"Uhm." She cleared her throat. "Is it too much to ask for macaroni and cheese? I don't know why but I really want some right now?" She asked, fidgeting with her fingers.
"Of course not! I love Mac and cheese. I'll get started on it soon." I replied. I was planning on sitting her down and talking to her about what I saw in her school binder anyway.
"Yay! Thank you." She smiled happily.
"No problem, sweetie." I looked down at the time on my phone to see when I should get started on it. "Let's see, it's 4:45 now, so I'll get started on it around 5:15, okay?"
She nodded. "Okay."
I smiled before hopping out of the bed and heading towards where she was standing, but the door. "Here, let's go make sure I have to ingredients so I know whether or not to send Greg out to get the rest."
I lead Liz downstairs to the kitchen to make sure I had all of the ingredients to make it. "Yep! It's all here thankfully so we should be good." I smiled at her.
"Awesome." She replied, sitting down at the kitchen table. My phone started to ring so I grabbed it out of my pocket to see who it was. "Sorry, sweetie, it's my publicist. I'll be right back." I said, holding the phone up to my ear to take the car as I walked out of the room. "Hey Tree what's up."
"Hey, Taylor. I was just calling to tell you that I have some new information on the adoption stuff." She said and my face instantly lit up.
"Really? That's awesome! What is it?" I asked.
"Well, there's gonna be a form I'll bring over on the second of January. But after they look over it, they'll send a social worker over to ask you some questions and talk to Elizabeth. Then they'll make sure it's a suitable living situation, and if it is, they'll send over the rest of the papers for you to read over and sign, then you'll become Elizabeth's full and primary guardian. Sound good?"
