"Ugh! I'm gonna miss you so much. Why do you have to have football games? I need to have some words with that coach of yours and tell him that he is depriving me of my boyfriend, cuddles, kisses, and really amazing sex." I pouted at Travis as we both stood outside of my jet hanger.

"Awe, I'm sorry, baby. Well, I will tell coach Reid that you are not happy with him." Travis replied, a playful smirk on his lips. "Good." I tried to remain serious but quickly broke into a smirk.

I pecked him on the lips before my face turned back into a frown. "I'm really gonna miss you."

Travis sighed. "I'll miss you too. It sucks that we can't see each other on Christmas. But the second I get back, I'll show you just how much I missed you." Travis smiled and I attempted to but it didn't really work.

"Hey, don't pout. You know I don't like it when you pout. It makes me sad." Travis moved his fingers to the corners of my lips, pulling up to try and form a smile. Soon after, I couldn't help but laugh. "There it is! There's that gorgeous laugh."

I shook my head in amusement before I overheard Tree telling me that we needed to hurry and I turned back to Travis. "Well, I guess this is it... I love you."

"I love you, too." Travis replied, rubbing his hands up and down my waist. "I'll call you when I get settled?"

Travis nodded. "Yep. I'll talk to you then." He kisses me again and it started to turn into a make out session until Tree called for me again. "Taylor! I know you're gonna miss him but can you stop eating each others faces off and get in here?! We have to go!"

Travis and I pulled away from each other with red cheeks. "Okay. I guess this is it, for real this time." Travis nodded and I gave him one small peck on the lips before turning and walking into my jet. I turned to look at Travis one more time, waving at him. He waved back with a sad smile on his face while I stepped fully into the jet and sat down on the seat next to Tree.

"Finally. I thought you guys would never stop making out." Tree chuckled but I just remained silent. She looked over to me after noticing my silence.

"Awe, honey. It'll be fine. It's only for a couple weeks." Tree said and I sighed heavily, leaning my head in her shoulder. "I know, but what am I gonna do with a house all to myself for that long?"

Another puff of smoke left my lips as I looked over the lake in front of me.

"Smoking can kill you, y'know." Adam made himself known as he sat down next to me.

I shrugged my shoulders, bringing the vape to my lips again and taking another puff. "Eh, got nothing to look forward to in life, anyway."

Adam rolled his eyes. "Why are we here, again?" I had texted him around fifteen minutes ago, telling him to meet me by the lake that we usually went to after very stressful school days.

"School fuckin' sucks." I rolled my eyes. Adam nodded. "Yeah, that's a given."

I love relaxing at this lake 'cause it's at a very secluded part of town, not many people walk or drive by. The only person to walk by since I've been here was a tall, curly haired, blonde woman. Other then that, it's been very quiet and chill.

"So, how long are you gonna be here?" Adam asked, staring out at the lake.

I shrugged. "I don't know, I just don't wanna go back to that place right now." I've never called the orphanage my home before, even though I've lived there for a while. It's just never been my home. A home is where you feel safe and comfortable. That place is not my home and never will be. Now that I think of it, I've never called a place my home. I guess I've never felt at home anywhere.
