Chapter 17

-Wanda pov-

We are walking into the compound and we feel the tense atmosphere immediately. I look to see Johnny Storm looking nervous as he paces. I walk in with the girls and look at the screen that is on. We all stop as we see the look from Sam.

"Where is Peter?" He starts to walk toward me and I feel my panic starting "Where is he? Sam where is he?"

"We have Clint, Natasha, and Kate on their way" Steph pulls me into her "We have to take this serious and with clear minds"

"There are hostages" Event at OsCorp scrolls across the screen "Reed mentioned that event"

"Something does not make sense" We all look at Bucky confused "Reed being there means Norman would have had major security right?"

"What Reed said" Johnny stops pacing "What you getting at?"

"The guards would be trained but what was being unveiled?" Janet runs to the computer with Scott "What does it say?"

"A chemical to make transitions for trans people easier" I watch Scott stop typing and stumble backwards "Scott?"

"Sharon's drive files have the event" It gets pulled up to the screen and we all get more tense "The military was forcing a super serum named code 'Goblin'"

"We need to get backup there now" Bucky starts walking away with Sam "We are taking Scott and Janet! Everyone stay here!"

I want to argue but I know me going would end badly. So we all move and take a seat as the four all leave. We all just keep our eyes glued to the screen not knowing anything. I can only hope Peter is alright right now.

-Peter pov-

I dodge another punch as I do get caught with a kick to my abdomen. I go sliding back and block the next punch. I punch him backwards and into a wall. I see where all of the serums and chemicals are being held.

The entire wall behind me holds everything. Before Ned and I can go at it again the power goes out. I hear the vents going and close my eyes to embrace it all. I can feel everything around me as a fist goes at me.

I grab it and break the wrist. I know someone else is here and I need to be able to focus on one on one not multiple people. I take down what feels like Ned and hit him hard enough to knock him out just to hurt my hand. The lights come on for me to see a shield blocking his face.

I let go and jump back to see Taskmaster standing there. Ned seems confused and I know for sure I am right now. I notice Cat standing in her gear towards the back of the lab as well. I am not sure how this all happened but everyone has confusion radiating off them.

"Alright so let us all get this out of the way!" I point toward Ned "He is here for the super serum and I am sure you two are as well! I am here to stop him but I am seeing that I may need to do that to you two as well?"

"Kingsley" I look at Taskmaster confused "I was hired by Roderick Kingsley to get him the serum so he could run tests on it"

"There was already tests ran according to what Roderick told me" Cat walks closer "We would know...The test subject is right here"

"No, I have researched that the subjects are dead from military" We all look at Ned "He was never given a serum"

"But he is here to be given it" Everything clicks in my head "He never was given the Serum but he is here to get the serum to use, which if your boss is trying to get it, means he is using him as a DNA subject"

"GIVE ME IT!" I take down Ned and stand over him looking at Taskmaster "I am going to destroy it"

"NO!" Norman rushes in "That serum is the best bet I have!"

"Norman that is dangerous!" He runs over and picks up the serum "Harry is in danger and this is the closest thing I can have to him living!"

"Dad I am fine!" Harry steps in and I get ready to diffuse everything "Dad the Doc said it was a misdiagnosis! He looked....He looked at moms information"

"I-No I was never told" Harry looks confused "Sergeant Kingsley came to me saying he saw the news from his wife! She is your nurse!"

"My nurse is name June Cantonbury" Norman seems to be clicking things in his mind "You were played dad"

"Everyone was" I turn to see the Avengers coming in "This place is rigged to explode somewhere"

Norman stays silent before speaking "The upstairs lab holds a lot of info!" The Avengers start to run but a boom sounds as the building shakes "MY LAB!"

"We need out now" Everyone starts to move but I see Ned missing "Ned?"

"HELP!" I turn to see Harry being held and a serum in Neds hands "Spider-Man!"

"Let him go Ned" I slowly walk toward him "Let him go"

"You want the serum?" I turn to see Norman holding it  "Let him go and you can have it"

Ned does and everything moves slowly. I move forward but Ned gets there faster. Harry is injected as the Goblin serum sails. I throw a web and smash the vial before pulling him to me. I watch Ned go to drink the serum but a shield knocks him out.

Sam pick him up and we rush out of the building as authorities arrive. We inform the police and hand over knocked out Ned. We make our way to Norman who looks very worried. He looks up and tears are falling down his face.

"I have no idea what serum was injected into him" He stands up with Harry "May I please watch over him at your lab or facility?"

"Yes" I look at Sam shocked "We will make sure he is taken care of in full"

"Thank you" We nod and start heading toward the vehicles they took to get here "Thank you so much"

-Clint pov-

"I see it" I look at Natasha "This Roderick is the real Hobgoblin and used Peters friend as bait"

"He is trying to add pieces together to get who Peter is" I sigh as Kate stands motionless "Kate come on...Kate?"

We walk over and see her eyes open wide. Her breathing is normal but she is frozen in place. I turn and see a spiral going. I turn it off and Kate stays standing there.

"Seems like our new guests may need some red mist"
