Chapter 22

-Peter pov-

"ON THE RIGHT!" I fling myself at another one of these 'Doombots', as Johnny likes to call them, and take it down "These things are coming more and more!"

"That is what she said!" I look over at Iceman as he takes down some bots himself "What? Oh cause I am gay I can not make your mom jokes? We are in a new generation Spidey!"

"Quit nagging both of you!" Firestar takes down majority of the bots as people start coming out from where they were hiding "It is very annoying to listen to"

"Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends!" The two groan and I laugh "Can I get a photo?"

"Of course" I smile under my mask but I know they can sense it "My Amazing Friends would love a photo for a young child!"

"Of course" Firestar smack me on the back of the head as Iceman laughs "One and done"

We take the photo before quickly leaving. I web a bot head and take it with us. I remove the tracking components and get to the HQ we set up. Being able to be an X-Men we have made our own team. 

We have been amazing together but since I am more known, The world has made us 'Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends'. They hated it at first but now we joke about it. We have every newspaper with the name or variations on a wall. We have to start posting them on a new one.

I love the fact I can talk to people fully like me. Firestar seems to be nervous though. It has been a few months since the girls came. They forced Bobby and me to go away for the day. I got to even meet his boyfriend.

We went to the arcade and it was so cool! Reminded me of Harry who still has yet to come back. I get letters every now and then from them. I just hope they are ok.

"I am heading out!" We look at Bobby who stretches some "Wanda is forcing the young members to do a gaming night and I want to see their faces when there is only board games"

"I need to get this done first" I sit the head down on the lab table "I will see you guys tomorrow at the mansion!"

"Alright" I turn and hear them talking "More fun for me then! Bye guys!"

"Not leaving too?" I move around the table as I get the head set up to work on "Why are you so nervous? Did the girls say something? I know adding in Kate and Yelena has had them nervous of more people"

"Why are you so kind?" I turn back toward her confused by the question "You could have killed many people and never batted an eye...why are you so kind?"

I think about the question for a minute "Well" I could be bad but "I have people to care about, even though some hate me some love me, and everyone has a bad deal! You just have to find the good things in those bad deals!"

"Could I be apa-"

The HQ alarm soon is going off like crazy. We both get suited up and go to where the alert came from. I stop when I see a whole army of the Doombots standing across from Sylvie, Reed, and Thor. I hear two landings and a portal open up. 

"They seem to all be here" I feel a tap and turn to see us being surrounded "Is this a trap?"

"My face has been all over" That voice....no it can not be "Murals of me, people mourning, and for what? I am not dead! I am not deceased! I AM ALIVE! I AM HERE!"

"We found our anchor point for sure and Loki helped the best he could" I look at Sylvie who is in tears "I-I am so sorry"

"I WILL BE YOUR WORLDS LEADER!" I turn toward the Doombot standing closest to us all as he takes off his mask "THIS FACE SHALL RULE YOUR WORLD!"

"No" I fall to my knees as they buckle "No....no,no,no GOD NO!"

Before I even register I rush him. I swing and punch him backwards. He narrows his eyes and puts his mask. The ground is shaking and I see fear in those eyes.

"This earth is doomed and not be me" He moves his hand and all of the bots fall "Reed!"

"There was a man who shared your face that was here" Reed sighs "He was a hero unlike you! This earth has taken in multiples of us from other Earths and it is falling apart!"

"Then I shall become the anchor point" He raises his hand toward me "By taking out the anchor"

My eyes go wide as I get blasted back into a wall. I groan as I fall and the bots start back up. He is trying to become the main being of the earth. Tony passed it to me with no one knowing he did.

I stagger but see the next blast coming at my head. There is no time to move. I look at my girls as the blast comes. They are trying but are too slow.

He looks like the man I trusted and loved as a father. I can not hate him or think other wise. My body was in fight or flight earlier. I close my eyes and await the hit that never comes.

I feel myself moved and open my eyes. I look up and see a smirking Pietro. The X-Men have arrived to help. The Doombot army has gotten all back up and ready to fight. I stagger up and step toward the front line.

"YOU MAY LOOK LIKE TONY BUT YOU ARE NOT HIM!" I look at Sam who gives a nod "HEROES!....Assemble"

Everyone charges forward as the I can sense his smirk. A smirk I am more than familiar with. The  fight begins and it will be long. This man seems to have conquered many other Earths like he wants to do with ours.  He knows what he is doing.

He just underestimated how much we are willing to fight for our homes.
