Chapter 14

-Peter pov-

I walk through the hallways and look around me. It is full of darkness and despair all around me. I keep my head up though as I make my way to my destination. I am here for one thing and one thing only.

Answers.

I need to have my questions answered right now. I know that he is the only one who can. I need to talk to two people and he is one of them. Mostly cause I know he will understand everything.

He is in the mindset of good for family and bad for evil or his perceived evil. I just have no idea how I will land on that chart. I know things have happened but who knows what has happened since Wanda gave him memories of me back. I heard he has been heavily guarded though.

I am going to end up dead or with the answers I need. Hopefully, it is the first option not the latter. But at this point, who can even take a guess. I am about to reach my destination when the power goes out. 

I quickly suit up as the generator kicks on. This is about to get very dangerous very quickly. I just hope nothing comes out of this. I sigh as I look to see a bunch of thugs I have out behind bars.

I quickly run at them as they rush me. I web a few down as they start to reach me. I jump to the roof and pull some up to tie them up. I land behind them and web the knifes so they can not stab me.

I see more and more coming at me so I take off. I make it to where the police are and they close the door behind me. I see cameras showing more police struggling. There are police getting placed into a execution line on one of them.

I pinpoint the location and go through the roof. I move around and find my way to where I need to drop to them. I watch as they all seem to be shaking. A prisoner holds a gun and smirks as he steps toward them.

"I have been used and abused here by all of you" I look at the prisoner put the guard under a bigger womans chin "You thought you would be lucky being pregnant? I think you can be the one that goes first! You whore!"

I drop down as he steps back and remove the gun from his hand. I am soon charged by all of the thugs and take them on the best I can. I watch the man I took the gun away from go away. I take off after him but get tackled down.

I groan as I look up at the man that tackled me. I see hatred in his eyes along with fear. This man seems to have been tortured brutally. He slowly gets off and I stand up slowly.

"What happened here?" They all share looks with each other "I am the good guy here...please trust me"

"Watch out!" I dive as a guy in a Iron-Man suit goes flying past and takes down the thugs while crashing "I DID IT!"

"YOU IDIOT!" I swing over and throw him away "THEY DID NOTHING! THEY HAVE BEEN TORTURED AND I WAS TALKING TO THEM! WHO EVEN ARE YOU?!"

"I am the new Iron-Man!" He pushes me and blasts us into a wall "WHO ARE YOU?!"

"Harley stop this!" I turn to see Pepper flying to us "Got an alert the prison was down"

"I told you to stay at the cabin" I feel anger boiling as this Harley guy walks toward Pepper "Tony was my mentor and left this stuff to me! I am taking over his title, his company, and taking his wife! I AM TO PROTECT YOU!"

"Step away from her now" He turns toward me and I know he feels protected in that armor "You know who truly is his heir? The man that can shut your suit down with two words"

The guy has the guts to laugh "So that is you huh?" I hear the Avengers getting access and control of the prison "Show me then twerp! Show me that you can shut me down!"

"You must be using updated but not his" I smirk as I see his fists clench "Maybe you updated him actually...JARVIS! OFF!"

He goes to move but the suit freezes on him. All the lights shut off and I walk up to him. The suit opens and I see him looking pissed off. I web him out and throw a punch straight at him.

He crumples to the ground as I see relief flood Peppers features. I knew she was a bit tense the past few times we talked so I am glad to have taken care of why. I pick him up and walk toward the captured guards. I drop him and help up the pregnant guard.

"What happened here?" She looks deeply afraid to answer me "You will be protected"

"We are all training here an-and they sent us here to learn the system" I see everyone is still shaking minus a older man who is glaring at her "He is the trainer! He threatened to beat us if we did not help!"

"She speaks the truth" I turn and see who I came here to talk to "I have explained everything to our mutual friends here..I hear you need to talk?"

"I do" I motion toward the guards "You know what needs to be done"

I follow the man I came here for to a new area. It is a meeting area of sorts. It has nice chairs and bright lights all around. We both sit down and it is eerily silent between us.

"Your friends filled me in Peter" He leans back in his chair "If I help you I want two things"

"Your freedom is guaranteed" He nods and still has two fingers up "What is it?"

"Number one is I help you out but I join the Thunderbolts" I give a nod as one finger remains "The second thing is I want to see her again...I want to see Liz"
