Chapter 23

-Peter pov-

The fighting has been long and difficult. We have to take turns fighting as we try to sleep or treat wounds. We have lost a few friends but mostly it has been wounds. It has been a few days and we were able to drag the fight away from the city.

We are out in the country and it has been destroyed. We are trying but we keep getting pushed back further. I can see the Fantastic Four whispering often. Like they know something we do not.

"You bastards!" Clint is held back by Yelena and Kate "HE CAME FROM YOUR EARTH! YOU ALL CAME WITH HIM!"

"He destroyed many people but Loki said him!" Reed sighs and I look at Susan who looks away in shame "We are doing what was said to save our Earth!"

"WAIT!" Everything stops as Doom steps forward "Everyone was pulled to this earth and no one has questioned why?! We had our strings pulled like puppets!"

"Not without reason" I stagger toward him "What do you know?"

"I was from their Earth and I killed many other Earths" Doom takes off his mask "Life has been a cruel mistress and I have grown tired of it! So I went on my crusade! Now I am here and so are many others!"

"X-Men, The Peters, Fantastic Four, Doom, and Galactus" Everything start spinning around in my head and adding up "We have been set up and they brought us all here"

"We did" We all over toward two people "We have been testing for our own battle and we have made our picks for our teams"

"Mine is simple" We look at the hooded woman "Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Doom, Reed, Cyclops, and Iron Fist"

"I am taking my champions!" The man looks at all of us "The people bringing my friend back are Spider-Man, She-Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, Daredevil, and The Thing!"

"I will play no puppet!" Doom steps toward the woman "I AM DOOM! I AM NO ONES SLAVE!"

"Shall I replace you then?" The woman shows her hand and many earths float across a screen "There have been many Tony Starks and Variants that look like him"

"Just follow what is said" I look at Stephanie "It will be fine"

I nod and we all are teleported to a new place. I look around and see everything is unfamiliar but also familiar. It looks like a fake New York City. I look at the team who all is doing what I am.

"We will not die I am sure" Wolverine sighs "I know the lady and I will kill Wade when I get out of here"

"The who's are not the problem" Sam grabs his shield "The what is my problem and the why"

"My friend was killed by Thanos" We all turn toward the old man from earlier "If you all win I can have him back"

"Using people to fight is sick" Jennifer shakes her head "What are we going to do? Kill our friends?"

"No deaths, injuries, or beating stay after the battle" We all share looks "Please! If I had another way I would choose it!"

"There has to be than this bullshit!" I grab the man by his throat "I AM OVER ALL OF THIS! TELL US THE TRUTH! MY SENSES HAVE BEEN GOING NUTS SINCE GETTING HERE!"

"I have always hated the smart ones" Everything fades and I am left with only Doom "I found a man named Mysterio who...well he obviously is no longer alive right Peter"

"Why here and why are you doing this?!" I watch as he takes off his mask with a frown "What? What could possibly make you frown?!"

"My earth fell apart, their earths fell apart, and now yours is too" He sits on the ground and shakes his head "I tried, your friends tried, and now there is nothing left but going to the TVA again"

I look at him uncertain "How can I trust you?" He does no look at me "Just cause you have Tony's face does not make you Tony"

"Cause we are going with you" I turn to see Stephanie, Peter, Peter, Fantastic Four, Wolverine, a guy in black and red, and him "Come on Pete"

"NO!" I swing and Doom goes flying into the wall as the facade fades "YOU WILL NOT TAKE THIS EARTH!"

"I already have been while keeping you here!" He glares as he puts his mask back on "Heroes have fallen or been thrown in cages like mutts! I AM THE GOD OF THIS EARTH!"

"YOU ARE A MORTAL MAN THAT LOOKS LIKE MY FATHER!" I fling myself just to get blasted backwards "I will die before I let you destroy my earth"

"The Death it shall be" I am soon blasted out the window "Look around you Peter! This started because of you and your so called Father"

I look to see everyone fighting as our earth falls apart. They are all fighting till their last breaths. Our wills are not broken and neither is our spirits. We will fight for our earth and everyone else's.

I turn as a he goes to punch me into the ground. I catch his fist and stare into his eyes. I can see he is breaking. I have no clue how long I have been out but I am sure he thought it would be done sooner.

I kick him away and we start fighting fully. We get blows traded and I am blasted away a few times. Each blast just gets me more angry. I am barely pulling back against him.

"ENOUGH!" He unleashes energy that sends me crashing headfirst into bricks "I AM DOOM! I AM A GOD! I WILL NOT BE DESTROYED BY SOME LITTLE FUCKING CHILD!"

"I...am not....a child" I stagger up and pull off my destroyed mask "I am Spider-Man!"

I charge at him and start throwing everything I got. I get hit and I trade two more in return. I am using all of my speed and strength to combat this man. He may wear Tony's face but he is not Tony.

I send him sliding across the ground and slowly step toward him. His helmet broke off long ago and I can see fear. A familiar fear I have once had on my face. He lost his home and tried to make ours his new one.

"Please!" He staggers to his knees "Please do not kill me!"

"Death would be too good for you" I pull him up "You will never see day again though"

Before I can react I am stabbed. He smirks and I throw a knockout punch straight to his jaw. He slumps  to the ground as I stagger backwards. I close my eyes as I hear my near yelled.

"Well this just is not good is it?" I open my eyes to see a man I have seen on the news and internet "Hello Peter, my name is Loki"
