Chapter Twenty-Nine

Ember groaned next to me, which woke me up from a deep sleep. I opened my eyes to see Ember rubbing her eyes before placing her arm over her face. She sighed, and I stared at her until she looked over at me, which made me smile.

"I have a hangover." She groaned.

"I thought you could handle it?" I slightly laughed as Ember looked over at me. She slightly smiled before groaning, then laid on her back and closed her eyes. I kept my eyes on hers as she laid there in silence, which made me reach over to lay my hand on her chest.

Ember grabbed my hand before bringing it up to her lips and kissing it. I smiled as I watched her, then her eyes found mine. She continued to look at me then sighed as her eyes glanced somewhere else.

"What day is it?" She asked as she closed her eyes.

"Saturday."

"I have shit to do today." She sighs as she lays there.

"What?" I ask. I saw her open her eyes before looking over at me.

"I need to go by the house to water my plants, for one." She groans then leans up against the headboard.

When she did this, my eyes landed on her breasts, and I stared for a moment before looking back at her. She rubbed her eyes before running her hand through her hair, and I smiled all while staring at her.

Ember turned her head towards me, then smiled down at me as I was still in a laying position. She reached over and caressed my cheek, and I reached towards her hand before holding it. I continued to stare up at her, then she smiled before removing her hand from my face.

After a few moments, Ember got up and pulled her shirt on, all while I was watching her. I stayed in bed as she slid her pants on then ran her hand through her hair before making eye contact with me. I saw a smile on her face as she walked towards the bed before leaning over towards me, slightly hovering over me before gently kissing me.

My hands found their way to her face, and I cupped her cheeks before pulling her further into me. I breathed in as I kissed her deeply, and I felt her smile against my lips before she pulled away. I kept my hands on her face as she was staring down at me, then she smiled before pulling away, letting my arms fall back against me.

"Can I ask a favor from you?" She asked as she walked to my dresser and looked herself over in the mirror. I saw her eyes look back towards me, and I nodded. "Do you mind going to my house to water my plants? I don't think I'll be able to do it. My head is pounding."

"Sure." I smiled before pulling the blanket off of me. I got up, then glanced over at Ember as she was messing with her hair as she was looking in the mirror. I kept my eyes on her for a moment before walking to my dresser to find some clothes.

"Thank you." Ember spoke before kissing my head. I smiled up at her as she smiled before walking out of the room, which I let my eyes follow before looking back at the dresser.

After I found clothes, I got dressed before fixing my hair in the mirror. I slid my shoes on before grabbing my phone, and walking out of the room. I placed my phone in my pocket before walking downstairs. I found Ember in the kitchen, and I stopped as I looked at her.

"Take my car." She spoke as she was making coffee. "The house key is on it. You remember how to get there?" She asks as she looks over at me.

"Yeah." I nodded as I leaned against the frame of the entrance. I saw her smile as she finished making coffee, then she turned her attention towards me.

"I appreciate it. I'm sorry." She sighs as she leans against the counter then crosses her arms. "I would do it but my head... is about to kill me." She shook her head before glancing somewhere.
