We went apple picking with my dad and got back to see Chapa in her Volt uniform recording something.

"Stay sparky" She said as she held up a lightning bolt in her hand and tapped the screen to stop the recording

"Uhh, what you doing there sparky?" My dad asked as he saw her

"Nothing"

"So you skipped out on apple picking for nothing?"

"Yep"

"You promised me you'd be there."

"I know"

"But you weren't there"

"I know"

"A promise is something that one can never break."

"Oh here we go" I groaned as I put down my bucket of apples

"Bones? Sure
Hearts? Daily
Teeth? I think we all know the answer to that one
But promises? Never." My dad listed

"Well maybe she can come with us next time-" Mika reasoned before my dad cut her off

"Anybody else could've skipped I would've been fine with it!"

"Hey!"

"Same!"

"Wow!"

"Mika? She made it an apple picking competition"

"Which I won! Not that it matters. It matters" She explained

"Miles? Miles just wandered around waiting for the apples to 'pick him'" He explained with air quotes

"My life's about the journey, not the result"

"Yeah well your journey resulted in zero apples"

"False" Miles replied as he took an apple out of my dads bucket

"Eve? She just followed me and Bose around, doing absolutely nothing, but making sarcastic comments"

"Well someone had to" I pointed out

"And Bose? Actually, sweet Bose and I had some really good talks"

"Your grandma loves you, she just doesn't know how to say it"

"No she doesn't. She's on deaths door" I pointed out

"That's enough from you. But god Dangit Chapa! You're my second favourite!"

"So I'm your favourite?" Bose asked excitedly

"Oh no no, my favourite's me. Now. If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go take a bath, eat some apples, and pen a handwritten letter, to my grandmother"

"She's just gonna throw it in a fire somewhere and you know it." I mentioned

He glared at me before looking at his apple and biting the top
"No!"

"What was that?!"

"Oh my god!"

We all yelled at him

"What?"

"That's your first bite of an apple?" Mika asked

"Course, stem first, butt second" He explained as he bit the bottom of the apple

"Oh my god!"

"Why?!"

"What are you doing?!"

"This is how everybody eats apples, top bottom then the core, after that you want some more, who is teaching you kids?!" He yelled
