Class: Colossus Leviathan:

Behavior:

Hunting: The Goliath Leviathan is a master of stealth and ambush. Its highly sensitive lateral line system detects even the slightest vibrations in the water, allowing it to locate and pursue prey with lethal precision. The leviathan's preferred diet includes large fauna, such as juvenile Ghost Leviathans, which it stalks and captures with remarkable efficiency.

Consumption: With a jaw span capable of engulfing almost any Alterra submersible, the Goliath Leviathan poses a significant threat to human exploration vessels. Its diet is not selective, and even adult Ghost Leviathans fall victim to its relentless hunger. The Goliath's digestive system can process a wide range of biological material, contributing to its formidable size and strength.

Defensive Adaptations: The Goliath Leviathan's scales are a marvel, dynamically adjusting to repel attacks. This adaptive resilience makes it nearly invulnerable to most conventional weapons, further cementing its position at the second two top of the food chain. The scales can harden in response to physical impacts, and their complex structure dissipates energy efficiently, minimizing damage from external threats.

Migration Patterns: While the Goliath Leviathan primarily resides near the void shelf, it exhibits migratory behavior driven by prey availability and environmental conditions. During certain times of the year, it may venture into slightly shallower biomes, such as the Grand Reef or the Deep Kelp Zone, in pursuit of seasonal prey migrations. However, it always returns to the deeper, darker regions of the Trench where it can utilize its natural advantages to the fullest.

Habitat: The Goliath Leviathan is primarily found near the void shelf by the crater, a region characterized by its deep, dark, and cold waters with minimal light penetration. This leviathan favors these desolate, open areas where prey is abundant yet visibility is low, giving it an edge over its targets.

Avoidance:

Upgrade submersible vehicles with Vibration Softener Sound Wave Barrier technology to reduce detection likelihood. This technology minimizes the noise generated by submersibles, allowing them to navigate Goliath Leviathan territory with a lower risk of attracting attention.

Countermeasures: Extreme sound has been known to do some damage the Goliath Leviathan, deploying Extreme sound charges may deter or injure the Goliath Leviathan, but they come with significant risks. The noise generated by these charges may attract other leviathans or aggressive fauna, potentially escalating the danger. Use this countermeasure only as a last resort.

Survival Tips:

Equip Atlas, SEAL, or Manta with vibration-dampening technology to minimize noise and reduce the likelihood of detection.

Minimize noise when navigating near void/trench edges. Move slowly and avoid sudden movements that could generate detectable vibrations.

Have extreme sound charges ready for self-defense if necessary. These should only be used in life-threatening situations due to the potential for attracting additional predators.

Size: Specimen is measured to be 467 meters (1532 feet)

Assessment: Threat Level: Extreme - Avoid at all costs due to the high danger posed by encountering the Goliath Leviathan. Its formidable hunting abilities, nearly invulnerable defenses, and aggressive nature make it one of the most perilous creatures in the depths.

Motivational Note: Congratulations on getting close enough to scan the Goliath Leviathan and living to see the results! Your bravery, skill, and perhaps a touch of foolishness are commendable.
