A/N: I'm sorry for updating this late. I only just got back to writing again (as I'm writing this, it's currently December 1) cus I've been focusing really hard on my studies. I graduated last May and recently took the nursing licensure exam last November so I barely had time for anything else. Good news is I PASSED and will start to work next year. I'm not sure yet how I'll be able to fit writing and editing when I'll be working and reviewing for the NCLEX at the same time but I promise I'll try to make it work. At the very least, I'll try to make it so we don't have to wait for over a year for another update again. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Don't worry, I still plan on finishing this and continuing my other works. We still have a lot to cover in this book so it won't be ending anytime soon. Have a great day, everyone!

About ten minutes after the doctor left, her parents arrived and Seungyeon had to leave because she had a meeting to attend. Jeongyeon's chest ached at the worry lines over their faces and the bags under their eyes. Her mother grabbed her in a bear hug and did not let go for at least a minute. She stayed silent most of the time, only speaking when she asked if Jeongyeon was okay.
Jeongyeon could only nod as she felt choked up.
It was a few minutes before her mother deemed that she had hugged her youngest long enough. She placed her hands on Jeongyeon's cheeks while she looked her over. "A-Are you hurting anywhere?" she said, sniffling.
Jeongyeon can tell her mother is fighting so hard not to cry judging from the sheen in her eyes and the quiver in her voice. There was also hesitance behind her question, as if she wanted to ask something else but is holding back. Jeongyeon had a feeling her mother has her suspicions about her fainting spell caused by something other than mere exhaustion. Truth be told, she would have a hard time lying to her own mother so her mother holding her tongue and avoiding questioning her about it made her feel guilty but grateful. She hated hiding things from her parents for she respected them too much but she wasn't ready to talk right now.
Jeongyeon gave her a teary smile and shook her head. "I'm okay, eomma. Just a bit tired is all."
Her mother bit her lip and nodded her head before stepping back to let her father embrace her as well. "Aigoo, this tall kid is still stubborn up to this day," her father lamented teasingly. He pulled away and raised his palm as a threat to hit her which made Jeongyeon shield her head with both arms, much to the amusement of her family. After a second of watching Jeongyeon cower in fear of getting hit, he dropped his arm and pointed at her with mock intimidation. "Your mother and I are not getting any younger, you brat. You're pushing thirty and still trying to give us a heart attack."
"Appa, I'm not even twenty-five yet!" Jeongyeon whined, pouting. Her father shook his head at her display of aegyo. "This little rascal..." he huffed under his breath.
Just then, there was a knock on their door and they turned their heads to the entrance to see a head with short brown hair peak in from outside. She had a hand on the doorframe as her body leaned forwards. She bowed in greeting and asked if it was okay to come in, her eyes trained on Jeongyeon's sheepish form behind her parents.
Changjoon gave her a smile and raised his hand in a welcoming manner. "Come in."
The girl in question bowed again and stepped into the room with a duffle bag in her left hand then closed the door behind her with her right. After the door closed, she brushed away a strand of hair from her face, shyly smiling at them. She held the strap of her duffle bag with both hands and said to Jeongyeon's parents, "I've informed my parents and they agreed."
Jeongyeon's mother smiled. "Thank you, Nayeonie. My heart feels lighter knowing you'll be around."
Jeongyeon looked at her, confused. "Um... what's going on?"
