A/N: Before you read this chapter, I implore to ARMYs, please don't hate me. I have nothing against BTS, the following events are just for the sake of the plot. Please don't take it too seriously. My portrayal of the character does not necessarily reflect his actual personality. His relationship with one of the characters is also fabricated and do not necessarily represent their actual relationship with each other. I do not know him or the other characters personally and won't pretend to do so.
If you're ever wondering which BTS member I am pertaining to, it will be revealed later on in the story. Remember, this is all based on my own imagination.
Another thing, I apologize for the lack of 2Yeon moments and interactions. Don't worry, I will still be adding moments between them, I just had to focus on Jeongyeon for a while since this is technically her story.
...
"Don't you look chipper this morning," Momo commented, taking a bite out of her sandwich. Jeongyeon had just appeared in the kitchen, smiling brightly at her. Upon seeing Jeongyeon, Boo barked happily from his seat beside Momo, wagging his tail in excitement.
"All I needed was sleep, I guess," Jeongyeon said, approaching Momo's puppy. "Annyeong, Boo-yah!" she cooed in a somewhat high-pitched voice people use when talking to babies and picked him up, caressing him.
"Others still not up yet?" Momo asked as she continued to eat. She and Jeongyeon were the only ones in the kitchen. Even Tzuyu, their resident early bird was nowhere to be found.
"You were up pretty late, weren't you?" Jeongyeon observed. "By the way, who carried me to my room last night?"
She woke up earlier this morning in her bed, her clothes from last night replaced by her pajamas. No wonder she slept peacefully.
"Tzuyu, of course. With your height, she's the only one who can carry you."
Jeongyeon nodded, satisfied with her answer. "I'm going to eat ramyeon. Want some?" She set Boo down in his seat. The terrier whimpered, obviously wanting attention. Jeongyeon pat his head with a smile to appease him a little.
Momo rolled her eyes. "Of course I do, pabo. You know well enough I'll never reject food... except watermelon." She offered some of her sandwich to her pup and he didn't think twice to take a bite. "While you're at it, I want to talk to you about something I can't talk about with the others around."
Jeongyeon was rummaging through their elevated cabinet when she answered, "If this is about your relationship problems with Heechul, I'm not sure I can be of much help." She grabbed two cups of instant noodles and set it down in front of Momo. She then grabbed the electric kettle by the sink, added water in it, and plugged it in a socket nearby.
"Oh, please. Why would I ask relationship advice from you when you can't even confess to Nayeon-unnie?"
Jeongyeon had just turned on the kettle when Momo's not so subtle roast made her pause. She had known for a while that Momo knew about her feelings for Nayeon but she hoped she wouldn't bring it up, even when they were alone. Momo wasn't exactly the smartest in the group but it didn't mean she was the dumbest either. Momo and Sana share that title, she thought instinctively. Jeongyeon couldn't deny she had her moments. And it was just her luck that Momo had noticed.
"I was hoping you wouldn't talk about it," she stated, continuing her work.
"How could I not talk about it? Having feelings for Nayeon-unnie is a big deal, if you haven't noticed," Momo scoffed.
"Why does it have to be a big deal? It'll fade anyway."
"Bullshit, Jeong. You've been in love with her for years. I know, I was there. I'm your roommate, remember? I always assumed you'd get over it but you never did."
