Mew stood at the front of the church, Tul next to him and the maid of honor on Tul's other side.  Although the wedding party was minuscule, there were a lot of guests.  To the outsider, Tul appeared calm but Mew could tell he was nervous.

"Relax," Mew whispered to Tul without moving his lips.

Tul touched his neck without thinking.  The scent blocker was still in place.  He's not sure why he is still surprised at how Mew knows what he is feeling.  They've had some connection since they met ten years ago.  People would joke that they were twins separated at birth.  It was almost like they could read each other's mind.  It used to drive Tul crazy.  He had to know why.  Mew, on the other hand, didn't seem to care.  He acted like it was normal.  They often showed up to places dressed similarly.  It happened so often, people thought they planned it.  If they spent too much time together they would display the same mannerisms.

Tul fiancee was almost scared away by their behavior.  She had called out to him and Mew and Tul both had turned around at the exact same time and the same direction.  Pei had been freaked out and left.  Luckily, Tul had ran into her by himself.  Tul had let Pei talk him into distancing himself from Mew for a couple of months.  Pei was the one to reach out to Mew when Tul became moody and irritable during that time.  Mew had been unwell during their separation.

This led them to researching and talking with their elders to figure out what was going on.  The closest answer they could find was that their wolves were soulmates, two halves of one whole.  The elders had said that once they both found their mates, the bond would weaken.  Until then, it just made their friendship easy.  The were both dominant Alphas but didn't have to deal with the aggression.  Their wolves didn't fight each other for dominance.  Neither realized how much this mattered until their brief separation.  Having to assert dominance or accept another Alpha has dominant was draining.  It could ruin friendships.  Mew and Tul could just be their true self around each other, which was freeing.
