Like every Friday, I stayed over at my best friend's home, however today we decided to walk to the supermarket for snacks. It wasn't very unusual for the two of us to go there, after all we were already 18. We walked down aisle after aisle searching for Pringles and for some reason it felt like we were being watched. Unlike me, my friend, never seemed to notice or care about these things but I did, alot. I already knew that they weren't watching me however but my friend. We eventually found the Pringles and got a few other snacks before going to the cashier.

"Hi..." I said to the lady on the other side of the conveyor belt.

However, this lady completely overlooked me just staring at my friend as I just stood there thinking, this never gets old. She cashed the items pretty quickly and I paid for them.

The guy packing the groceries turned to me asking, "Can I get some of your snacks?" in a joking manner.

I looked across at my friend and she looked annoyed. I tried my hardest at what I thought was a smile before replying, "You can't." But honestly I should've known this was only to start a conversation.

"So how old are you?"

I was hesitant to answer but I decided to tell him anyways. " I'm-

"No, I mean your friend," he said cutting me off.

"I'm 18," she replied smiling.

"So has anyone told you how beautiful your are." he said smiling at her.

I really had no idea what was going on. It seemed so movie film-ish that I found myself laughing a bit.

My friend looked across at me, with an uncomfortable look, yet when she turned back to the guy she smiled. Somehow, this guy kept asking her question after question as if she were on a late night game show.

"So what's your name?" he fiiiinally asked her, while I just stood there, feeling like a third wheel of some sort.

"It's Helena..."

"Anyone ever told you what a beautiful name that is? It suits you." he smiled at her. "I'm Erik, by the way."

Helena just stood there speechless while I couldn't take anymore of his cheesy lines. I took up the bag of snacks, which he seemed to have taken hostage before taking Helena's hand and leaving the creeper behind.

"I bet your number was coming next," I snorted. "How am I always part of these types of situations."

"I don't like it either!" she complained, walking back to her home.

An hour had passed since we got back from the supermarket, and we were now settled in front of the television.

"He was kind of cute though..." she finally said looking across at me.

"I knew it!" I laughed throwing my cushion at her.

~So this is my first try and I really wasn't sure about how to put this into words but hopefully it wasn't that bad. Please leave comments about what you think ^.^/
