CHAPTER 8

Slowly, as time awaited, Jungkook was attracted to Jimin, finding a purpose in the Omega. Something about the Omega drew him closer to him, wanting to protect and be with him despite the danger and chaos everywhere.

Yet, little did Jimin know how serious Jungkook was and the depth of his feelings. To him, Jungkook was an Alpha like every other strong powerful influencer. Jimin did not have the remotest idea that Jungkook knew his real identity and, above all, the danger Choi Miseok posed to him.

Standing by the window, Jungkook looked out over the sprawling city. His brain was a jumble of thoughts. He knew from Yoongi that Jimin was the real Park family's son because of Choi Miseok, who had been relentlessly Running. yoongi was searching everywhere for him because of his parents, his life was in danger. He felt the same guilt that consumed Yoongi; he knew it was all upon his self-responsibility for Jimin's situation if he had saved him a year ago.

"I need to protect him," Jungkook muttered to himself, his resolve hardening. "I cannot let Choi Miseok get to him."

But getting close to Jimin was not an easy task. The Omega was still wary, still trying to find his footing in this new world of power and danger. Jungkook needed to find a way to gain his trust, to show him that he could be relied upon.

One evening, when the sun was dipping into the horizon, Jungkook finally got a very good opportunity. He had seen Jimin sitting alone in Kim Mansion's garden, lost in thought. their visits to the place are so normal. The reason Kim Taehyung. He inhaled a deep breath and walked towards him.

They took their places on the bench nearby. The evening was so cool and soothing; Jungkook gathered his wish to say the most memorable sentence for a moment.

"I know you have to be overwhelmed with all that is happening" Jungkook started, his voice sincere. "But I want you to know you are not alone; there are people who care and want to protect you."

Jimin's expression softened a little; in his eyes, however, uncertainty still lingered. "Thank you, Mr. Jeon. But why are you telling me this?"

Jungkook sucked in a deep breath, the intensity behind his eyes, his stare locked on Jimin's, ratcheted up another notch in sincerity. "Because I would like to be among them, Jimin. I know this is sudden, but somehow, in some way, I feel connected with you. I want to be your friend."

Jimin blinked once, twice, clearly taken aback by the Alpha's words. "Friend?" he repeated, his voice exactly as though trying to grasp the word.

"Yes," Jungkook affirmed with a steady voice, "I want to help you, support you. I understand it must be hard to build trust now, but I wish you could give me that chance and let me prove myself."

As the night grew darker, a bond began to form between them.
