The Four Clans // Silentsea's Secret

Chapter IX

The sun slowly rose over the Sandstone cliffs of coveclan camp. Sparrowleap pushed himself through the Entrance of the warrior den and went over to Lynxfall and Lightwhisker. "You two can stop now." he meowed and lynxfall streched herself to loosen her stiffend legs. Lightwhisker let out a yawn and got up. "Come you can get some rest. follow me i show you the Empty nests" Sparrowleap gestured for them to follow him. They pushed themselfs through the Tunnel and sparrowleap showed them the nests.

Lightwhisker nodded and layed down to curl up. Lynxfall flopped down onto her belly and layed her head onto her paws. Both of them slowly drifted into sleep. In the meantime The rest of the warriors slowly woke up and made their way onto the clearing. Iceflower made her way to the Apprentice den alongside Ferretpelt.

"Silentpaw! Stormpaw! come out we are going training!" Iceflower hissed and Ferretpelt slapped over her ear with her tail. "Dont be so harsh now." she meowed and sat down. Iceflower sighed and sat down beside her Clanmate. Silentpaw and Stormpaw pushed themself out of the grass covered entrance.

"lets get going. we are going to the Big Salt lake." Ferretpelt meowed and took the lead. Iceflower and the Sisters followed her to the Training grounds. When they arrived Ferretpelt and Iceflower began their apprentice training. After a few hours ferretpelt and Iceflower sat down and watched their apprentices fight each other.

Stormpaw punced at silentpaw knocking her to the ground. Silentpaw rolled around as her sister jumped at her again. She used the advantage of her sister being midair and rushed under her and kicked her to the side. Silentpaw rushed towards Stormpaw and pushed her to the water and they continued till their Mentors called them off. Stormpaw and silentpaw stepped out of the water shaking themself to get the Salty water out of their fur. They sat infront of their Mentors and cleaned the salt out of their fur. "You two did good work there." Ferretpelt praised the two young she-cats. "Yes i must say your water fighting is getting better and better." the russian blue cat meowed.

"I say we should hunt some freshkill for the clan before we head back" Iceflower said, got up and turned to leave for the forest. Ferretpelt sighed and gestured Stormpaw and Silentpaw to follow her. They made their way to the Pineforest near the old Apple tree and went for a hunt. Iceflower stopped and whipped her tail around. "Crouch down and look for pray." The three other she-cats nodded and crouched down. Then they spit up.

Back at camp Brightface was sorting the herbs Mosspaw and she collected. While she was placing some Poppy seeds on a dockleave Timberstrike stepped though the tunnel followed by a young tortoiseshell tom. "Brightface." he spoke and Brightface turned to him. "Yes Timberstrike? what is it?" She asked, her voice raspy. "Dappleheart got hurt by a fox while we were on patrol."
Brightface nodded. "Dappleheart go lay down on a mossbed. ill be right with you." Brightface dissapeared into the back of her den. "Mosspaw go check the wound while i get the herbs"

Mosspaw checked on the wound and licked it clean as far as she could. Brightface came back with some Goldenrod, Chervil and some Poppy seeds. She crouched down and gave Mosspaw the goldenrod to chew. "Just a mild infection. Mosspaw put the goldenrod and chevil on. when its done give him the poppyseeds so he can sleep" She meowed. After all was done they went outside the den right when Iceflower and her training group returned. Brightface stepped to Daisystars den. "Daisystar!" She called out and was soon called in. "Daisystar its halfmoon tonight. i will have to go to the Moonsping with Mosspaw." She explained. Daisystar nodded and send her off.

As the sun went down Brightface and Mosspaw got on their way to the Moonspiring on their way they met Dawndream. They greeted each other and continued to climb down the Rockpile. Down at the clearing they met up with Mintstripes, Starsong and Crystalpaw. "Greetings Brightface and Mosspaw." Mintstripes meowed and flicked his tail around. Starsong and Crystalpaw gave them a polite nod.

As the moon started to rise they made their way towards the Highrock where the leaders of all clans sit at a gathering, Underneath in a cave was the moonspring. One after another they pushed themselfs through the stone cracks into the smal cave. Starsong and Crystalpaw layed down near the Moonspring followed by Mintstripes, Brightface and Mosspaw. Brightface, like all the other Medicine cats licked off some of the Clear water before falling into a deep slumber.

Brightface soon woke up alone at the moonspring. "Brightface." A soft voice spoke to her from behind. The old Medicine cat turned around to see a beautiful brown she-cat with dark brown stripes. "Brownleaf. Its so great to see you again dear." Brightface spoke and dipped her head.
"I have a message for you my old friend." Brownleaf meowed and stepped closer till she stood right infront her. Her once darkbrown pelt shimmered silver in the moon light. Brightface sat down.

"A young she-cat will make a terrible mistake." She meowed. Her eyes filled with sorrow. "What mistake?" Brightface asked. "I cant say. all i can say is that it will be a breaking of the warrior code. But It will be a blessing for the future." She said. "A blessing? what does that mean...Brownleaf you have to tell me." but brownleaf shook her head. "I cant say more. but i believe that you will make the right decision when the time comes." She spoke before she went back to the stars and Brightface woke back up.

After all the Cats had woken up she and her apprentice traveled back to Coveclan terrirotry.
Back in the Medicine den Mosspaw checked on Dappleheart while Brightface went to Daisystar to infrom her about the Message from Starclan.
